I gave Fable 5 one job: write custom WebGPU kernels for Gemma 4 inference. It climbed to 84 tok/s, then hit a wall, insisting further optimization was impossible. Hours later, Anthropic rolled back invisible LLM development safeguards, and it hit 255 tok/s. The next day, access to Fable 5 was suspended globally.

This is going to have an opposite effect that the decels want. It's a huge open source AI accelerant, an accelerant for corporations, and enterprises Now it's a real race. You either make your own AI infrastructure or you don't have a seat at the table

It's really confusing to me that people think I'm trolling when I say you're supposed to read every line these models produce. It's really important you do. I just shrunk a garbage trash diff of 100 lines to 4 lines

Unprecedented. @BrianRoemmele warned everyone for the past two years that the government would take away our AI. That day just arrived. Was talking with an entrepreneur in San Francisco who was running Fable to build software and just turned it off while it was building. Tomorrow night Anthropic is throwing a Fable builders event in San Francisco. I wonder if that event is still going to happen? This hurts American national security. I know of several companies that were using Mythos to close all of their security holes because it is so powerful at finding weaknesses in software. That effort has not been completed, so there are many companies with many holes still open now. This throws that effort into question. It also means that China is emboldened because, you know, can you trust an American company to keep their systems up and running if the government is willing to shut them down so abruptly and with no warning? It also means that open source and running models on your own computers is now very attractive (if it wasn't already). Expect Apple Mac Studio sales to go up.

Apart from using the open source ones and running them locally, It’s high time we start engineering our own models from the foundational level in this country, No fine tuning just pure research. I know men are doing this already but we also need the infra, at least a large part of the data centers to be fully resident in our country and then start moving towards creating our own chips. @cencori #AI #NigeriaDemocracyDay #VDM

I am new to Robotics Industry, 4 months now but it feels so good and positive. There are researchers left and right debating on stuff, companies growing & raising money. People here are actually trying to solve actual real issues that will make the World better (except the dancing & threatrical demos ofcourse 🤣) Just excited for the Future as i can see decades long business to be built here unlike the past industries i worked in have no future after a point. I have started reading research papers now, which i never did since i dropped out of college so good habit building industry as well!
