@UTPenguin05 @RoKhanna … you want capitalism to be in a superposition of both having guardrails and not having guardrails. Or just whatever’s convenient for your argument at the time.

@vywss1 @RoKhanna Capitalist. However, free markets don’t really work with people like this trading and also making the decisions that influence stock prices.

Brits love to think they're superior to America. Here's what's ACTUALLY happening to the UK economy: -It would rank last among ALL 50 US states in GDP per capita -Its Government is raising household taxes faster than any country -It just got overtaken in stock market value by TAIWAN, a country 1/3 its size The very definiton of Europoor.
Institute of Economic Affairs@iealondon

🇬🇧 We asked Brits where the UK ranks vs US states in income per person. Average answer: 7th. Wealthier than 43 states. The reality: 51st. Dead last. Below Mississippi. Below Arkansas. Below every single US state. 🧵

@TiredOldXY @sharmake25 @JosephBHunt @Accountable2019 A billionaire can be taxed at 90% and still live an infinitely lavish lifestyle, while some people can be taxed at 0% and struggle to make ends meet. "Fairness" is taxing the ones who can handle to pay it.

@JimLockNdropit @moraltreason @BRICSinfo Then why does Islam refuse Jesus as God? Surely such a brotherly religion wouldn't refuse the central tenet of Christianity, which is that Jesus was God incarnate, died on a cross for the forgiveness of sins, and rose from the dead to ascend into heaven.

@JamesCAnzalone @Drvelayati_ir There's no "getting over with" a war with Iran that doesn't involve the loss of tens of thousands of US soliders, or more.

Hello Sir i understand your position but one thnig i do know about the United states , even thou we never wanted a war with Iran and we really wanted to co exist with you . I think if you do close this passage you might see something you have not seen since Bush starting the attack on Iraq. We have not seen that here yet. but i know it will not be good for your country or ours. Most Americans don t want this war but if you continue to screw around with what your doing ,then your as bad as the others. I think for your country ,the way of peace and also think about it you now can really make peace and possible even make your country great again. Iam against war but if we get into a war , i say throw everything we have at them and get it over with. But if we go the peace way ,then we go all the way. Fo the people peace is always the best way. If you do it right why not ask for John Kerry back. I know he s old but he truly was trying for peace. Good luck either way and god bless both countries and the hope for peace.

@SaveFarrisLSU @michae5745 @saikatc Spend money on foreign wars we shouldn't be involved in, get people overseas mad at America, spend more money to fight those people. Lovely cycle.

@vywss1 @michae5745 @saikatc We reduced the defense budget prior to 2001. And we spent it on childcare for all the children of WTC workers. How'd that turn out?

It is so obvious what Dems should run on. Vote Republican if you want endless war. Vote Democrat if you want daycare. But to do that, Dems must commit to slashing the defense budget. Unfortunately, half the current Dem party won't do it. That's why we need to change the party.
FactPost@factpostnews

Trump: We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.

@leeschmidt123 @RealDanODowd That smoke is too thick to make out anything at ALL with a visual-based system. The car clearly had no idea what it was heading towards, yet decided not to stop. And there were no cars following closely behind in the video, at least not close enough to negate an emergency brake.

@vywss1 @RealDanODowd It’s hard to tell how fast it’s traveling, what’s behind it (ex. an 18 wheeler), what the camera could actually see or detect in the smoke, etc. There’s no way you can make an accurate call from that video alone.

@leeschmidt123 @RealDanODowd I've driven with FSD and understand how useful it can be. But pretending the Tesla in this video made a safe call is laughable... had the vehicles in the smoke been positioned less fortunately, the car would've careened into them. There was plenty of space to come to a slow stop.

FSD works wonderfully well, I use it every day and it’s nearly flawless. In this case, the FSD did slow down safely and stopped without colliding. Slamming on the brakes in this situation could easily get yourself rear ended and/or cause a pileup. You really should try driving a Tesla, you’ll like it once you experience it. It’s virtually guaranteed that FSD is a safer drive than you behind the wheel (as it is with most humans, but especially elderly folks in your age range). P.S. obfuscate is the wrong choice of word here, perhaps you meant obscure.

@michae5745 @saikatc Irrelevant to their point. Cutting defense budgets means more money for federal grants to states... for things like childcare. The broad idea is that more of the total taxes paid by Americans should go to services that actually benefit them.

Actually first understand the Constitution. Defense spending is part of Federal government responsibilities . Daycare would fall under State budgets. If people want Daycare that need to go to the State legislatures not the Federal Government. We need people to be educated on how things work and it seems like 95% don’t.

The idea that every sovereign country near Israel must cap its conventional weapons, limit its defensive capabilities, restrict missile and fighter jet ranges, and even dismantle its own military industries—just so Israel can "feel safe"—is completely absurd. Which other nation on Earth demands and receives this kind of privilege? This exceptionalism is especially ridiculous coming from a regime with such an inherently aggressive posture and track record in the region.
