Recently I was able to get some hands on with 007 First Light on GeForce RTX. Had a blast so far and game has an excellent mix of combat as well as stealth. Of course, will support Path Tracing and DLSS 4.5 as well! Checkout this combat sequence 👀

Because right now it looks like they’re a bunch of honest men trying to defend a museum from someone they have every reason to believe is a dangerous psychopath.

Bond is supposed to be a good guy working for the good guys. Killing other good guys should be an instant career ender at best.

@dreamcastoffic1 @himynameisdagan Honestly that is one of my pet peeves: movies and videogames where the protagonists indiscriminately kill friendly/neutral cops, security guards, or soldiers and yet they're treated as unambiguous heroes. Like dude, that’s murder, stop it.

I'm watching The Giant Behemoth (1959). The middle part of Lourie's dinosaur trilogy. In parts it's basically a remake of The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms. Initially there was supposed to be no monster at all. The movie references the same real story of radioactive fish as Godzilla.

Pol Pot and the rest of the people who took control of Cambodia were radicalized in 1950s and 60s Paris. It was armed and trained by other communist movements from the start.

@ArthurKolchak I saw it a few years ago and loathed it with a passion. To me it was a deeply obnoxious film filled with bafflingly awful creative choices. I am aware that this is a minority opinion, but reading reviews it is a sizable minority.

Not sure if it's some peculiarity of the algorithm or a peculiarity of the zeitgeist (are those things even distinct anymore?), but Bram Stoker's Dracula (the film) really seems to be having a moment now. I recall its reputation was "mixed" upon its release and for most of the years following, but recently people seem to have started elevating it as one of the very best versions of the story ever put to film. I may actually need to finally sit down and watch it.
