One year ago, a woman whose home was hit by a landslide during Hurricane Helene and was denied by BOTH insurance and FEMA, received an unexpected visit. Over 30+ Amish carpenters drove down from Pennsylvania, and rebuilt her home for free... ...in ONE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week, Linus Torvalds made the following statement: “[The Linux Kernel] is *NOT* some kind of "social warrior" project, never has been, and never will be.” Which is peculiar… considering the fact that Linux, himself, regularly uses the Linux Kernel (often as a weapon) to promote Leftist, “Social Warrior” political activism. Here’s just a handful of examples of Linus using the Linux Kernel for political causes: - Linus on the Russia / Ukraine War (after Russian developers were banned from contributing to the Linux Kernel): “Did you think I’d be ‘supporting’ Russian aggression?” Linus stated that any who oppose banning Russian developers are part of “Russian troll factories”. - Linus pushing the Covid Vaccine (and aggressively attacking anyone who questions it): “Please keep your insane and technically incorrect anti-vax comments to yourself. You don’t know what you are talking about … Get vaccinated. Stop believing the anti-vax lies. And if you insist on believing in the crazy conspiracy theories, at least SHUT THE HELL UP” And those were specifically posted to the Linux Kernel Mailing list. Here’s a few more quotes from Linus Torvalds (where he is communicating as the leader of the Linux Kernel project): “I am one of those ‘woke communists’ you worry about.” “I'm a card-carrying atheist,” “A woman's right to choose is very important.” “Guns should be carefully licensed.” Linus (who repeatedly spoke at and is listed as a member of the WEF) also used his position within the Linux Kernel to promote Trans Activism: “I couldn't care less if you decided to dress up in the ‘wrong’ clothes or decided you'd rather live your life without feeling tied to whatever plumbing you were born with.” When looking at the statements and actions of Linux Kernel leadership, one things is undeniably clear: The Linux Kernel *IS* a “social warrior” projects. And that has been the case for many, many years.

@w3ssten @AlbertoM1015 @MartinTweats Sure. Christianity is not needed for survival. So what? Atheism is also not needed to live. I don't get your point. This is trivial and irrelevant point you are making here.

@w3ssten @AlbertoM1015 @MartinTweats Sure they can be questioned. You can question them all you want. But how is that relevant when you don't propose a better alternative? You are free to say that we should not live according to christianity. But how should we live then? Atheism has no answer to that, so why bother?

@HerrHugison @AlbertoM1015 @MartinTweats Atheism does only 1 thing: challenges the reality of those claims, nothing else. We are all born without religion, depending on your location different religion is being pushed on you. This contradicts scientific studies - they are all the same everywhere and can be questioned.

@AlbertoM1015 @w3ssten @MartinTweats Christianity is a claim about reality. If true (or considered true) it has personal and societal implications. Example: if true, humans are mad in Gods image, all humans have high value and we can ground human rights in that.

@omeyocantlan @MartinTweats Hight level, yes, you're right. I was talking about his argument which he presented as logical (even put some mathematical symbols to make it look smart). But it's just a set of random definitions and claims with no logical connection.

@w3ssten @MartinTweats "There is zero logic here", ohhh there's plenty of logic here. Martin is scared of death and enjoys the entitlement his specialzzz bookzz gives him. So he makes up a sky buddy whom he uses to try and scare us into obeying "His objective morals" which are actually Martin's morals.

ONTOLOGICAL ARGUMENT (ANSELM) Idea: God is defined as the greatest conceivable being. A being that exists necessarily is greater than one that exists only contingently. Formalization: 1. God is, by definition, a being than which no greater being can be conceived. 2. A being that exists necessarily is greater than a being that exists contingently. 3. If God exists only in the understanding but not in reality, then a greater being could be conceived (one that exists in reality). 4. Therefore, a greater being than God could be conceived. 5. This contradicts the definition of God. 6. Therefore, God exists. Symbolically: - Let G = God exists. - Let N(x) = x exists necessarily. - Let M(x) = x is the greatest conceivable being. - M(G) -> N(G) - N(G) -> G Therefore: G

"based on a lack of empirical evidence" But God is a metaphysical claim a priori (reason), not a posteriori (empirical observation). Claiming that you don't believe in God because you cannot empirically observe him a posteriori is using the wrong tool for the job. You cannot detect logic, math or modal truth through empirical observation either, yet you trust them, believe in them and depend on them every day. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. In this case, you are demanding the wrong type of evidence. It's like claiming that the colour blue does not taste like mushy peas because you cannot detect it using a microphone.
