the gym bro is tired. the fasting guy is tired. the vegan influencer is tired. meanwhile the mediterranean putting 3 sugars in his coffee croissant for breakfast steak alfredo for dinner affogato for dessert sunlight sprinkled in between hasn’t tracked a macro in his life. lean. calm. vital. he never feared food. sugar. or the sun. sugar doesn’t make you fat. red meat doesn’t cause high cholesterol. sunlight doesn’t cause cancer. avoiding them makes you weak. fruit. honey. juice. meat. sunlight. fuel the engine.

I get very confused by people eating >100 g of protein only because they’re told they should, and not actually exercise. I mean what’s the point?

What natural can achieve after years of heavy lifting and stripping body fat down to very low levels. Using mojo for T support, gains for strength and fullness (creatine hcl and betaine), octane pre workout.. among others And yes, low dose tirzep to help me not go over my calories lol

"You need carbs to build muscle." Right. Let's go through this. - Muscle is built from amino acids. Not glucose. - The energy for a 5-rep set comes from phosphocreatine. Not glycogen. - Phosphocreatine is replenished by ATP. Which your body makes from fat very efficiently once adapted. - A heavy set lasts 15-25 seconds. The phosphocreatine system covers about 10 seconds, the rest comes from anaerobic glycolysis, which can run on muscle glycogen that gets restocked from gluconeogenesis. - Gluconeogenesis is the process by which your liver makes glucose from protein and glycerol, and it has been doing this quietly for the entire history of your species. So the actual chain is: You eat fatty meat → your body makes ATP from fat → ATP makes phosphocreatine → phosphocreatine fuels the heavy set → the set causes mechanical tension → the tension causes hypertrophy. At no point does a sweet potato need to be involved. The carbs-for-muscle myth exists because the people repeating it have never tested the alternative. They've assumed the standard inputs are mandatory because the standard outputs were achieved with them. Correlation is not a recipe.

Everyone keeps asking me what I’m on to look like this at 40. So here are all the peptides, anabolics, and hormones I used to reach 8.5% body fat at 227 pounds, 6’4” (a 100% transparent thread): 1. Retatrutide

@gregogallagher For those who don't understand. He is specificly talking about PRIMAL desire . Not attraction from financial security .

Very rich, powerful men value looks deeply. Why? Because it’s the one thing they don’t have and can’t just buy. No matter how much money they make or status they command, they don’t get that instant, primal desire. They can use resources to attract beautiful women. But they will never trigger deep desire. And no amount of money will change that.

@gregogallagher Most people do not know what it is to really push hard in the gym for years. I have friends thinking I am not natural too … I know 1000% you are natural .

@wChris00 @sam_gzstrength You know you are stronger because the numbers are going up. For example, my deadlift is 435 now and I am fighting for 445. I didn’t want to stop at 405 and wouldn’t at 500. So I’m trying to understand what is gained by focusing on full plate milestones.

Lifters should strive to push their strength higher than they think they need to once in their life Here's why, because it's going to solve a problem for you A lot of guys have the Standards 1.0 as a goal 135 Press 225 Bench 315 Squat 405 Deadlift This is a solid "base" of strength yes. But what happens when life happens and you have a period where you can't train for whatever reason? Sickness, injury, life stuff etc You easily fall to your floor which could easily be less than a 225 squat and 315 deadlift But if you spend the time gunning for the Standards 2.0. 200 Press 300 Bench 405 Squat 500 Deadlift Maybe you fall a little short on a couple of them, who cares And something happens - you have developed a REAL BIG BASE of strength. And even if you fall for whatever reason you'll always be - from then on out - a Standards 1.0 guy or better Basically, the higher the initial strength push the higher your floor of strength Which is highly useful to you in life in whatever you want to do

@gregogallagher Define crazy fit . Nobody get a sub15 5k in 6 months with no history of cardio. It's the equivalent of 300lbs bench ...

Imagine just running for the last 5 years then u have 6 months to get strong. You’ll still be pretty weak. Maybe hit a 180 bench for reps. Now imagine just lifting for 5 years then u have 6 months to work on cardio. You will be crazy strong and crazy fit. Aerobic system adapts fast. But all you cardio bunnies get so emotional logic leaves the convo

Cardio doesn’t matter. It takes many years to become strong. But u can build great stamina in 8-12 weeks. So skip cardio. But never ever skip lifting heavy

Long distance running is what you do when you have zero purpose in life and zero athleticism. Unimpressive and boring. Kind of like becoming a real estate agent. No one plans to become a real estate agent. And no one plans to start running and wearing those stupid glasses. But then life happens
