@wabuffo
1) If you have no edge, correct position size is 'don't buy”. 2) Position sizing is determined by downside. 3) All great investing records employed leverage.

@davevermilion Of course, David, there are many ways to make money in markets. That's what makes them so interesting.

@davevermilion I can cherry-pick dates too. Its down almost 50% since I shorted it with, like, real money. Nowhere near the small declines in V, MA.
But stablecoins are, like you said, the future of payments and mean the end of V & MA.

@AndrewhFX @wabuffo I love @wabuffo. If he had CRCL that is great. After eps it is on fire. I am just rubbing him on our conversation on the credit card cos.

@FadedAlpha_ Geno Smith - helping NFL franchises land the no. 1 pick in next year’s draft.

@wabuffo Hahahaha just got back on the app to see this. My reaction below

I hope they tank for the 2027 QB draft class. (They already own three 1st rounders) This is a good start.

@davevermilion It’s flatlining since Genius Act.

I do think stable coin does increase at a faster rate of usage then debt on credit cards. See stable coin growth? I am not a fan of holding stable coins at all, and think that is just crazy, but efficient transactions will grow with users that do tremendous volume. I think it’s stupid that they buy treasury bonds and they collect the interest. For the avg person I see no use for it at all.
English

@davevermilion You were replying to a CRCL/stablecoin tweet so I interpreted it that way. That’s why I was surprised.
English

@davevermilion That’s fine. But don’t tell me your thesis for it was stablecoins…

@wabuffo Called a short in MA and V several weeks ago. How is that going?
English

@Fletche33881557 @IiiRicher @JaguarAnalytics @deerpointmacro The 10-year yield is based on the market's long-term outlook - not one month's data.

@neilksethi @wabuffo any chance you can update the Payroll taxes dataset?

Probably shouldn't have sent this one out in the middle of the tariff drama, so wanted to resend it, as I have been steadfast believer in a solid US economy the last few years (as I have written in each Week Ahead since mid-2022), but much of that was predicated on solid income growth.
For that reason it was notable to me that we've now seen our weakest two quarters (and back-to-back) of real (inflation-adjusted) disposable (after-tax) income growth since Q2 '22.
We've also seen the y/y figure decline to the least since Q4 '22 as noted in the post.
While they haven't pushed into negative territory yet, it's something I think to keep an eye on.

Neil Sethi@neilksethi
Real Disposable Personal Incomes (RDPI)* continued to slow in Q4 coming in essentially flat Q/Q as it also did in Q3 (and softened to 1.03% y/y, the least since Q4 ‘22 (and the least pre-pandemic since Q4 ‘13 (circle)), although still positive, so remaining somewhat supportive for household spending and balance sheets (if increasingly less so). *RDPI is aggregate national personal (non-corporate) incomes adjusted for inflation and taxes.

@thewritser I was going to ask you about this on another board - so I'm glad you're doing an explainer here...

@Seahawks Why aren’t we interviewing Joshua Grizzard for the vacant Offensive Coordinator role??
Look at his last two games against Coach Macdonald. You must interview him to find out what he knows that Coach Mac may not at a minimum. At a maximum, he is our guy.
Someone call John Schneider please and thank you. CC @BrockHuard @TheMikeSalk @michaelbumpus5 @StacyRost @MoveTheSticks @hawkblogger @markschlereth @LOSeahawks @RobRang @NickLee51
