My father passed away today resting peacefully at home. I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers over the last couple months! He was successful, but more important he was Significant.
We have been visiting the Grider Pumpkin Patch in Perkins, OK since our youngest was the age in the picture, she is now 23.
We went again today and it was the best crop of pumpkins I have seen there. Acres and acres of pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors.
The family that owns it are incredible people and they have some activities for the little ones when you check out. And you won’t find a better bargain on pumpkins anywhere.
Here are few tips if you have never been.
1. Gloves are helpful. Pumpkin vines can be prickly.
2. A pocket knife or garden scissors will help a lot.
3. Wear old clothes and shoes. You will have dust on everything.
4. The roads are fine for any vehicle, but be aware driving around the patch will get your car very dusty.
5. If you have a friend who is great at photography, invite them, you’ll be thankful to have some great pics from the trip.
6. Stop and eat somewhere in Perkins before or after. They have a handful of options and they are all good. Enjoy the small town experience.
If you live close, I can’t recommend the Grider’s Patch enough. We love the memories we have made each year. 🎃
Hey @NBCSport, you do a great job on your football games, but could you make the possession marker any smaller? What was wrong with having a little football icon next to the team with the ball?
I have an exercise where I ask people to describe, in one word, how they feel right before they find out they were wrong about something.
They typically give very similar answers: embarrassed, angry, dumb, etc.
The key is that those words describe how you feel AFTER you find that you were wrong.
BEFORE you find out, you felt RIGHT, even though you were completely wrong. You felt correct when you weren’t.
That exercise applies to how I feel about people who feel unloved and uncared for. People who feel alone in this world and get to the point they feel like their life has no value.
THOSE THOUGHTS ARE WRONG.
If you feel that way please reach out to someone and ask for help. Don’t make a permanent decision when you don’t have correct information.
In the U.S. you can call 988 and get help immediately.
No matter how bad you THINK things are, I promise God has a plan for your life. Please stick around to see what He has in store for you. 🧡

After being named the Big 12 Faculty member of the year earlier this year, Dr. Brett Carver is today quoted in a @nytimes article. The article is entitled, “Is the Bread in Europe Better for You?” written by Alice Callahan.
Proof once again that “Orange is the answer.” Congratulations to @okstate and Dr. Carver. Our little university continues to have a big impact on the world.
@TheOklahoman_ I purchased a subscription 2-3 weeks ago and was told my paper would start later that week. I never received a paper. I called your offices last week and they apologized. I was told I would receive the paper on Sunday for the first time. Still nothing. I’m a fan, but I have no idea why this is so difficult for you. Help?
When your creative buddy goes to @oaxaca he brings back a souvenir with a logo he created for the character! Thank you @claybillman ! Everyone should have a friend as creative and kind. Plus, he may have accidentally created an idea for a new Halloween concert!

This always one of my favorite events each year. Center of Family Love does incredible work and their volunteers and residents are some of the nicest people I know. Every year is like seeing family.
This is one of the happiest events we do each year.
Thank you to Center of Family Love for having us. We are grateful to play a role.
@AskAmex It seems your social media team is as efficient and customer-focused as your customer service team.
I am trying to resolve something for my father who has been a cardholder for over forty years.
Is anyone going to reach out to help?
Hey @AskAmex, would someone please explain why you are causing my 87-year-old father grief when he has been a faithful customer of yours for 42 years?
Is this how you reward loyalty?
I can’t begin to explain how frustrating your customer service is.
We communicated yesterday and after confirming I did have a reservation you told me I needed to deal with the property directly because you were having difficulty with them.
I spoke to the manager this morning and she said they have no problem issuing a refund on the reservation because my wife never checked in and we cancelled well before the deadline. But, she tells me that your team doesn’t show it as a cancellation and since you still have the funds you are th responsible party for the refund. And she told me that your cancellation fee was the entire amount? What in the world?
You are playing a game of runaround and stalling giving me my refund. I am shocked and disappointed by your lack of concern and action. I have specific records showing I cancelled the reservation through your app AND did the same with the property.
I will never do business with your company again. Never. Pathetic.
@wadetower Hi Wade, we regret to hear you may be awaiting a response to any correspondence you have shared by email. I love how @bookingcom completely ignores you when you repeatedly email them about an issue. It is super helpful. I also love that the property told me that she wasn’t surprised because she always gets complaints about @bookingcom.
