@philippemnoel Hiring is such a tough challenge. Have you formed an opinion on the 10x dev vs normal dev? How do you balance the strengths and weaknesses of applicants?
English

Most of my focus at ParadeDB over the recent months has been on hiring. I spent some time thinking about what's worked well and what hasn't.
Lmk what you think: philippemnoel.posthaven.com/hiring-is-hard…

@sudomateo I think you meant you don't take things for granted here but yes there's a ton of blessings everywhere
English

@thdxr @adamdotdev Yeah super odd decision by them considering how much you folks seemed to support charms repos. (Not at all claiming you popularized em solely but would not be fair to dismiss the terminal teams coverage)
English

@waldeedle @adamdotdev we've been sending them messages for weeks and they've ignored all of them

@MattJamesBoyle @gitpod Yup I was aware, I meant to ask if you plan to? Sounds like no tho 😀
English

I owe you all an update.
I'm excited to share that last week I joined @gitpod as the Head of Product Engineering.
Gitpod is a company I have been following for a long time as their focus on improving engineering productivity in even the most complex, regulated environments resonates deeply for me.
As AI agents become a core tenant of engineering productivity, ensuring you have a secure, zero-trust environment to run these workloads on is going to be essential for enterprise customers.
Most of the AI agents available today have built their agent first and are only now realizing how hard the underlying platform problem is. Gitpod started the other way around: we’ve spent the last five years perfecting the platform.
We're building something really special and I'm going to start demoing it from next week. You won't be surprised to hear that we are building the whole thing in @golang and you can expect to see me share much more about that too.
If you want to be one of the first to see it, join the waitlist on ona.com. You can also follow @meet_ona here.

@MattJamesBoyle Although I haven't had a chance to use it myself, using browser tools to assist with testing/development of FE seems great!

well my prayers were answered by @awscloud themselves sometime recently 😍the new client is lovely

I know AWS' Client VPN gets the job done, but I feel like it could be better. I would love something like a menu in my toolbar (Mac) that switches easily.
English

@aidenybai @telnyx has been more of a pleasure in my experience! It also helps that the pricing is better
English

@sudomateo Hard agree! The separations just feel so good. I tried making a go only site, it just doesn't feel like as productive to be htmx only. Could be a skill issue tho.
English

Literally never regretted serving my clients.
Dev Agrawal@devagrawal09
Literally always regretted separating server from client
