Everything you do is an inspiration to young people. Brilliant work. And to anybody who doesn't know Annabel Kiki, look her up. She'll make you smile🧡

This time last year I won the @smiley Champion of Change Award. It felt like a real moment that marked the end of the horror and the start of my purpose - and now that I’ve been named @BCRT first Youth Ambassador I want to keep sharing my positivity by highlighting #TYACAM

We can’t bring back 3pm Saturday games. Wagon wheels are rare. We can’t fix delayed £120 Avanti trains or £60 kids’ tickets. But we can make you feel good about the Power of Sport. Tune in, sit back, and listen to some incredible #SportforGood stories @PowerofSportPod" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@PowerofSportP

It’s been an odd few months. On @Walk92uk I made a little list of places I wanted to revisit. Lyndhurst in the New Forest was top of that list - mainly for a stunning sausage roll and an old-world sweet shop. It's great to be back. Then there’s the subject matter of the first three Power of Sport episodes. So far: heroin addiction and dealing. A drugs bust that ended with a police officer trapped in a car window. A suicide attempt. Clinical depression. And a 6'8 boxer who’s built a team helping 600 people a week through boxing. The contrast is pretty stark. But I'm loving turning the vision from that crazy 2000 mile walk into reality and shining that light on the incredible sport for good work, grounded in proper lived experience. Do follow the journey. linktr.ee/sportlocalacti… 🧡

The walk was just the beginning. 92 grounds. 92 days. One aim: show what sport can do for good. That journey sparked Power of Sport - a podcast amplifying the stories of people using sport to change lives. 🎧 Watch, listen, share: Links here: linktr.ee/sportlocalacti…

We always love to share the mammoth journeys devoted football fans make up and down the country every weekend to follow their teams, be it from, Truro to Gateshead, Carlisle to Yeovil, Barrow to Gillingham or Plymouth to Sunderland, but as the old saying goes, 'Hold my beer' and this beer belongs to 54-year-old, Xavier Wiggins! Xavier has walked🚶‍♂️to all 92 football ⚽️ grounds 🏟 in England and Wales in 92 days! Raising money for three different charities dubbed as 'One Walk for Good' Xavier, an AFC Wimbledon fan and the co-founder of the Dons Local Action Group (one of the three charities), began his epic Walk 92 journey back in August, setting off from Swansea in South Wales. 92 days later, he finished at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park, a journey of around 2,000 miles, with 700 hours of walking and 4.4 million steps! Absolutely incredible! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 On each leg of the journey, Xavier promoted the work of each of the 92 clubs’ community trusts, which all do amazing work within their own communities, giving them the opportunity to walk with him to raise awareness of their activities. The 2,000-mile walk has raised funds and awareness for the many inspiring Football for Good initiatives including: Street Soccer Foundation – using football to help young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness find hope, housing, and purpose. Sport Local Action’s Sports Bank – helping remove financial barriers that stop young people from playing sport And the Dons Local Action Group which does amazing work in the community. Xavier said: “Football changes lives. Whether it’s keeping young people off the streets, supporting mental health, or offering a sense of purpose - I’ve seen its impact first-hand." “Increasing recognition that this walk has been about shining a light on the great work that is going on. Long may that continue.” Take a bow, Xavier! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 You can donate to the fundraiser here; 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 crowdfunder.co.uk/p/walk92-1 @Walk92uk

We are passionate about removing financial barriers between young people and playing sport. @SportLclAction's #SportsBank was a Walk92 partner. It was therefore briliant to hear from Alison at the @SCFCCommunity about their own programme when @JustWiggo dropped in.
