🚨 Miliband Crumbles When Asked the One Question That Matters: How Much Would UK Net Zero Cool the Planet?
Lee Anderson asked Energy Secretary Ed Miliband a simple, direct question in Parliament:
“If Britain went Net Zero tomorrow, by how much would global temperatures fall?”
As the man in charge of our energy policy and one of the most vocal champions of Net Zero, Miliband should have had the answer at his fingertips.
Instead, he stood up and delivered pure waffle, dodging the question entirely with vague rhetoric about “British leadership” and how the 2008 Climate Change Act supposedly inspired the world.
No numbers. No data. Just ideology.
The truth is uncomfortable: it would make virtually no difference.
The UK accounts for less than 1% of global CO₂ emissions.
Even if we shut down every emitting industry, household, and vehicle overnight, the impact on the planet’s temperature would be negligible, too small to measure meaningfully.
Meanwhile, the world’s biggest emitters aren’t playing along: China (1st), United States (2nd), and India (3rd). Together they dwarf our output.
While we’re crippling our own energy costs, driving up bills, closing industries, and exporting jobs and businesses overseas, they continue expanding fossil fuel use to lift their populations out of poverty.
This isn’t “saving the planet.” It’s self-harm dressed up as virtue.
We’re sacrificing competitiveness, energy security, and working people’s livelihoods on an evidence-free fantasy.

We still don’t know the full details surrounding the Manchester Airport incident involving the two brothers, nor do we know all the reasons why a retrial will not proceed. What is clear, however, is that public trust in the justice system has been eroded to the point where many British citizens will view this as yet another example of two-tier justice. This is Keir Starmer’s legacy.

@labourpress You're doing a better job of promoting him than Reform. Imagine thinking scepticism about Covid is a sin in 2026. You smackheads.

@labourpress @glynmorgan3921 and here starts the smear campaign?you lot are pathetic

Reform UK appears to have a very, very big problem with misogyny.
There are now so many shocking stories and incidents that it’s becoming incredible hard to ignore.
Want to know about some of these stories? I’ve collated a few. And there’s LOTS more out there.
Read this.👇
Last week, a man was filmed harassing and heckling abuse at Rachel Reeves from a van.
Senior Reform figures’ response?
Jokes about buying him a pint, about giving him a peerage.
No condemnation, just laughs.
This week, Reform’s by-election candidate for Makerfield was reported to have said women have abortions for “vanity purposes.” He also allegedly claimed he’d “rank higher” than a female presenter and former footballer because he’s played FIFA.
I mean, seriously?
But those are recent events. Let’s dig deeper.
The former Reform candidate for Gorton and Denton was allegedly caught on video saying young girls and women need a “biological reality” check.
Like something straight out of the Handmaid’s Tale.
A Reform councillor reportedly told an International Women’s Day event that some women “should never have left the kitchen.”
Really?
Another Reform candidate before the last General Election allegedly referred to women as “thick tarts.”
Outrageous.
Another candidate for the last General Election allegedly replied to a post telling girls they could achieve anything they want by reportedly saying: “fertilising eggs and providing Y chromosomes.”
Ridiculous.
Inside the party itself, some women are walking away. Some councillors have reportedly resigned over what they describe as “misogynistic undertones.”
At some point, you have to stop asking about these cases in question.
You start asking what it says about the party that keeps being associated with people who show such behaviour. In some cases, apparently defending them, laughing along with them, and promoting them.
Culture comes from the top, and this appears to be a deep and pervasive culture of misogyny.
And don’t forget, a fish rots from the head down.
You may remember Nigel Farage told a female journalist to “write some silly story” and when told he may have upset her, replied: “Good.”
You may also remember he told a BBC presenter asking serious questions: “Listen love, you’re trying ever so hard.”
Is that an acceptable way to behave?
Don’t forget, Reform have also reportedly said they would repeal the Equality Act to protect against sexism.
The thing is, if we normalise men shouting abuse at women in the street and the response from our politicians is laughter or mockery, we are in a very dark place.
None of this is culture war noise. It’s a signal about what kind of country we become if these people win power.
Reform want to run Britain. Think about what that means for your daughter. Your sister. Your mum.
Stopping Reform isn’t just politics as usual. It’s a moral mission.
The thing is, Reform have admitted before they’ve got a few bad apples.
But there’s only so many bad apples you can find until you start to think that the whole orchard is rotten.

🌺🇬🇧 Saddened to hear of the passing of Gilbert Clarke — Second World War veteran, RAF Leading Aircraftman and proud member of the Windrush generation — at the age of 100.
Born in Jamaica, Gilbert volunteered to serve in the Royal Air Force during the war, travelling across the Atlantic in 1944 to support the Allied effort at a pivotal moment in history. Working on radar and radio systems, he played an important role in supporting military aircraft operations during the liberation of Europe.
Throughout his later years, Gilbert remained committed to remembrance, helping ensure the contribution of Caribbean servicemen and women during wartime would never be overlooked or forgotten.
His story is a powerful reminder that the defence of Britain was built on service, sacrifice and unity across nations and communities.
Rest in peace, Gilbert. Thank you for your service and for sharing your story with future generations. 🌺🕯️🕊️🇬🇧🇯🇲
We will never see their like again.

The challenges we face in Europe demand strong partnerships.
Today I’ve signed a defence treaty with @DonaldTusk to strengthen our shared security and capabilities.
This is the biggest step forward in our defence and security relationship with Poland in a generation.

Conservative MP 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐦 was asked on GB News about her colleague Helen Watley's call to ban benefit payments to men with multiple wives. The numbers Lam laid out are not a typo.
Four wives: £𝟕𝟖,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐚 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 in UK benefits. Eleven wives: 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 £𝟏𝟕𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐚 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫.
Lam didn't dodge: “𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘺𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘴.”
Her conclusion was the obvious one. Taxpayers — people working forty-hour weeks — are funding the legally-impossible household structure of new arrivals, at six-figure rates per household. “𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨.”
