@Masterflip_ Agree to disagree, man. You don’t bring your closer in there with 8-9-1 due up. Your high-leverage guys need to handle those late outs.
Then Devin takes 2-3-4 in the ninth. That’s the right move.
The Mets fought all the way back from 7-1 to make it a 1 run game. Why would Mendoza go to a pitcher that was knocked around this homestand instead of a pitcher that has yet to allow a run this season?
If feels like it’s 3 against 1 out there #mets
@CalmYourMitts My bet is he is here the whole year. He makes mistakes, for sure, but the players are the ones that aren’t doing their job. If Senga did his job, we would be talking about Mendoza shuffling the lineup and we scored some runs
Horrible loss, horrible homestand
- Senga badly needs a six-man
- This Lindor slump feels different
- Really nice day from Bo, needed it
- Alvys at-bats continue to impress
- Vientos disappeared since SF
- Weave, what the fuck man
Dodgers might eat us alive next week
@MetsHype@Masterflip_ I believe this is true. I also think that mets fans see the same bad team as last year and Lindor is the only (basically) one left of the core to blame
@MetsGirl333 His lack of hitting is understandable given the injury. But his overall play (defense and on the bases) has been worrisome and can’t be contributed to the injury. I love Lindor, btw.
For everyone complaining about Lindor not hitting, keep in mind he spent spring training recovering from an injury. He’s basically in his spring training right now.
It doesn’t make things less frustrating for fans but it is a fact. #LGM
Jorge Polanco's Achilles tendinitis has complicated the Mets' plan at first base. What are the next steps in evaluating the best options?
SNY's Chelsea Janes examines the situation as Polanco fights through "pain" in his Achilles:
"One could argue that the best way to keep Polanco’s much-needed bat in the lineup into October would be to have him DH most of the time, rather than test his legs at first. Certainly, in the short term, the Mets have chosen that solution."
