‼️Independence Marathon Brief‼️ @gutsybunch @surehikers2022 @FastnFurious40 @mutungomadbus @marcosruninngC1 @roadstriders23 @Kh3Kampala @nakaseroboys @TeamTogetherUg @teammatooke @stanbicug @crown_beverages @mtnug - Registration closes on Tuesday October 7th at 7 PM or if the kits run out earlier - ⁠Wednesday 8th, final pick up day for kits & bibs. Route activation drive thru. Set up of start & finish venues - ⁠42.2 km arrive at ISU in Lubowa at 5. Run starts at 6 am on the dot for good route management. Parking is at the venue. Expect very strict & elaborate procedures. - ⁠21.1km starts at Voice Mall (where we usually find the first water stop) Bwebajja. Parking will be at Taibah International School, 500 meters in the valley. The run starts at 6.30 am. - ⁠10 km & 5 km will start & finish at 7 am in Entebbe at Lake Victoria Primary School - ⁠The maps have been shared & all runners/walkers will finish at Lake Victoria Primary School NOT Cricket Oval. - ⁠If you are unable to get your bib in advance, please come early & get it at the start line of your race. - ⁠There will be a complimentary bus service at intervals starting 11 am to Bwebajja & Lubowa for those who have to pick their cars. - ⁠Hydration, Nutrition, Medication & Vibration will be at start venues, Lweza, Kigo, Kajjansi, Bwebajja, Kisubi, Nkumba, Kitubulu, Victoria Mall, Church Road & finish venue. - ⁠Mobile medical service will also be available as is emergency evacuation - ⁠We are finalizing police escort & road management with traffic - ⁠There will be designated parking at Lake Vic Primary School. Please cooperate with the security team - ⁠On completion of the race, please report to the table with your race tag for clearance & a breakfast coupon - ⁠There will be an option for you to pay for food & drinks beyond what we offer I will do one more brief on Wednesday
