Are we doing enough to normalize menstruation? Are policies around menstrual health management working? Is a period-friendly world a reality that we shall experience, or are we setting our hopes too high? Join as Tonight at 8:00 PM As we unpack this. x.com/i/spaces/1qGvv…

Things just got awkward live on TV. Opiyo Wandayi claimed they had agreed a deal with matatu operators to end the strike and even said there were no questions only for one of the matatu leaders to go live moments later and completely contradict him. This is exactly the kind of courage Kenya needs. Speak the truth publicly. Don’t let leaders rewrite reality while cameras are rolling.

We have submitted practical, innovative proposals to the Cabinet Secretary, National Treasury, for the FY 2026/27 Budget. The Sheria Ya Vijana Project Nairobi County Youth Forum (CYF) memorandum champions climate resilience and youth green and digital job opportunities.

At Youth Forum, a powerful moment unfolded — participants from former and current colonies came together in a deeply symbolic flash mob, planting their national flags side by side on a shared board and pouring their hearts into messages that refused to be silenced. Their words painted a bold vision: a world finally free from colonialism and neocolonialism, built on liberation, dignity, respect for international law, stronger global partnerships, and a future where young people don't just watch history unfold — they lead it. @FlnksOfficiel @SikhFedUK @ka_ubuntu #france #Chad #Gabon #Guinea #DRC #Khalistan #Burundi #Rwanda #Reunion #Kenya #CotedIvoire #Guadeloupe #NewCaledonia #Cameroon #Algeria #Canada #Morocco #Belgium #India #netherlands

Pleased to have co-chaired the Nairobi County Youth Forum (CYF) Steering Committee Meeting under #SheriaYaVijanaProject. We agreed that the work plan would include youth-led activities, and the CYF would make proposals to county and national budgets. What would you like included?

Let’s be honest, most young people only hear about budgets when it’s already too late to change anything. This time, the approach is different. Through #SheriaYaVijana @Oayouthkenya together with our partners @WeWorldOnlus @afosike @StretchersYouth @KenyaCIC, formed the County Youth Forum to shift young people from passive observers to active contributors in governance spaces. It’s about understanding the system well enough to engage it, and organised enough to influence it. From the 1st meeting held at our offices in Kasarani, here’s what the Steering Committee is already putting in motion: 1. A more grounded, youth-driven work plan Built together, refined together, and owned by the people doing the work. 2. Early action on budget proposals 🔹Identifying key youth priorities 🔹Shaping recommendations for county and national budgets 🔹Connecting these proposals to existing planning frameworks 3. A collaborative way of working 🔹Shared input through a central tool 🔹Continuous conversations across different channels 🔹Space for ideas to grow before becoming final submissions The County Youth Forum which consists of the chair @Boniface Harrison, @mukui_yvonne, @JUSTINEMAGANG10 KAPANGA, @wanja_147, Kevin Mathanu, @BerniceKeya, matters because it creates structure. It brings direction to #youthvoices and turns them into something that can actually influence policy. #YouthEmpowerment #YouthLeadership
