95% of engagements in Marathon are winnable. Outside of some edge cases it always comes down to whichever team has the better positioning and sometimes better aim. There's always something to learn from your losses in this game and I reaalllyyyyy love that about Marathon.

The real fun of the game doesn’t appear unless you make progress to get full heat/movement upgrades and all the AI subroutines which can take 100-200+ hours for a normal person. On top of that there’s no true endgame besides Cryo Archive which is only available 3 days a week. I think this game will find its target player base and be bigger than it was the past month later down the line a year from now. A year from now when there’s more endgame content and becomes more “new player friendly” so they can actually play with the full upgrades and endgame themselves. So long as Sony/Bungie don’t pull the plug and keep updating the game it will be fine for an extraction shooter 🤷‍♂️
