Skiers paid an average of $134 for a day on Vail Mountain this season, a far cry from the much-hyped $356 peak window price. Consumers should think about walk up lift tickets at top tier mountains like hotel prices at a front desk or airfare at a check-in counter. Not the price most people pay.

@mliebow @tomhappel @liftblog You’re correct And Vail is probably the best operated mtn in the portfolio. The company and the towns they are attached too are in trouble.
English

@tomhappel @liftblog I gave up on Epic this year. Some seasons I’d ski 70+ days. I’m one of the few who brought down the “average”.
The hard truth is Vail is a lousy operator and doesn’t deserve our business. They’re pushing Epic hard right now but I’m sure they’re gonna fail miserably.

@DanMckenzieYQG @SloHoopsFan You’d be kicked out immediately. But if you had a goon defender you could trot out it would be entertaining
English

@SloHoopsFan I really don’t understand why no team has decided to say "fuck it" and commit hard fouls on them all night. Straight up 80s style Detroit style fouls.
English

@tghobbs51 @SloHoopsFan Wade too. But some of this is different. You should be rewarded for going strong to the hoop . Not for jerking your head back and flopping into defenders
English

@SloHoopsFan Something else no one cares, dimension, SGA watch videos for years and years and years, and guess who he learned going strong up the middle and drawing fouls he learned it from Kobe Bryant Kobe did it all the time and back then no one even said anything
English

@jay2xo @SloHoopsFan Kobe’s game was far different imo. James Harden for sure. I thought the league changed the rules because of him around 2014?
English

@SloHoopsFan I don’t want to name names but this was part of the game for NBA superstars in the early 2000
English

@LPirner @MollieeWalkerr I thought the majority of Rangers fans wanted him gone. I’m happy to see this. He was a great player for our Rangers
English

Trying to film my postgame after the #NYR loss to the #GoKingsGo, and it appears Artemi Panarin just hopped on the ice to go take a photo with some Rangers fans!
English

@Lee_Devious Well they drink hard either way there! Sounds like someone with a mental breakdown
English

@WasatchSnow @zraph Keep hearing March 30th. Also they could’ve gone into late May that year.

@JimFergusonUK First time in my life hearing about Khuzestan. Seems gto be a Hollywood named fake state in the middle of somewhere.

🚨 BREAKING: MAJOR SIGNAL FROM INSIDE IRAN
A political declaration has just emerged from Arab tribes in Iran’s Khuzestan province — the country’s most important oil-producing region.
In the statement they make several striking points:
• They reject the Islamic Republic and call for the complete removal of the regime
• They demand a secular democratic government based on human rights
• They stress that Khuzestan is an inseparable part of Iran
• They call for unity among all Iranian ethnic groups including Kurds, Azeris and Baluch
• They express support for Reza Pahlavi as a unifying national figure for a future transition
Khuzestan is not just another province.
It is the heart of Iran’s oil industry and one of the most strategically important regions in the country.
When voices from inside that region begin calling openly for a democratic future beyond the Islamic Republic, it signals something much bigger:
The cracks inside the regime’s foundations may be widening.

@JustinTMichael Vegas? Our Peewee team here has practice from 8:15 to 9:15 so I’ll get to come home and watch the most of the second and third period. And yes, you do sound like an old man😜.

One of the selling points of the epic pass strategy, was to insure pass revenue during bad winters. It's now been proven a failure as VR has grown into a headless monster that can't manage the CX across it's portfolio, whether a "marquee destinations" or a mom & pop hill.
Matthew Prince 🌥@eastdakota
Vail Resorts ($MTN) likely to open tomorrow down to where if you invested 10 years ago you’d have done as well putting your money in a hole. It’s time for a change to become more asset-light, sell off resorts, and allow character and differentiation to return to skiing.
English

@DanV_Barrons @eastdakota If they slash the dividend to zero what do you think would happen to the stock price? I assume it would go down. But how much?
English

@wasatch_ram @eastdakota it's the debt and excessive dividend
English

@DanV_Barrons @eastdakota You need to follow more closely. Poorly run company. They are spiraling from and operating standpoint and no longer have much in the way of employee capital as they aren’t good to work for either. They own some fantastic properties no doubt
English

@eastdakota I follow Vail closely. I can say they got screwed this year from -historically low snowfall- Colorado snowpack 30% of normal. Blame it on "global warming" or bad luck- they just need more powder days.
Earnings/ stock price would be much higher if it was just a normal snow year.

@gator347 @BarMexicoSSX @J_Swish24 Avon is nice . I agree not a “great” ski town. Basin isn’t a town at all. WP is ok but not on the level of steamboat. I don’t get the “wrench” part? Don’t get the “porch” part about PC either. Crested butte is great.
English

@BarMexicoSSX @J_Swish24 This guy talks about towns and brings up beaver creek .. fucking kook
English

You must’ve vacationed to Gulf Shores Alabama as a kid and grew up thinking that was a nice beach. Respectfully, Steamwrench isn’t even a top 5 in Colorado.
Aspen / Snowmass, Telluride, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge all above.
-Swish, expert skier.

@J_Swish24 Missing steamboat crested butte and Ketchum , you don’t know ball

@TheExachoupelos @CNN @grok I thought maybe you were living currently in Iran and had a more personal connection to what’s going on in the ground there. I had a valid question. I’ve studied the history of Iran and Persia. Amazing place and people
English

@wasatch_ram @CNN @grok Since your question is a malicious attempt to draw me out, and since I'm speaking from a historical perspective, not a personal or racist one, no problem, I'll answer you anyway: There are no Shiites in Algeria.
End of discussion.
English

Iran's governing structure isn't a one-man show -- it's a system, with power distributed thoughout several layers of government.
Born out of a revolution, it was built to sustain attack on its leaders, making it harder for adversaries to topple. CNN's Kylie Atwood explains.
