Three people pulled their manuscripts today because they want to revise. I don't mind this--especially now that I'm using QM and it handles it for me--but I really urge writers to be SURE their work is ready before they submit.

The work they do will earn them 15%, as is standard. In exchange, and at a minimum, you’ll have a contract you can trust. You might also be given better terms (ie more money, better royalties, clauses that protect your right to publish other things, and much more)

Unagented writers: if you are in the process of being hired to do IP/work for hire, email agents and let them know. There’s no guarantee, but you might find someone to work with who will negotiate the IP agreement for you, and make sure the terms are fair.
