A senator told me that the rumor on the Hill is that Elon Musk is threatening to fund a primary challenge to any House Republican who doesn’t fall in line with Trump’s agenda.

The producer of Saturday Night Live said neither Harris nor Trump would appear on the show "because of election laws." Last night, about 60 hours before polls open, he put Harris on the show in a warm & humanizing sketch. He and NBC violated the equal time provision of the law.

Heartwarming immigrant banking story: The State Bank of Texas is owned and mostly run by Patels. Poor Indian immigrant Chan Patel comes to Stanford for grad school, becomes a successful hotel entrepreneur. He finds that lenders are unfairly discriminating against Indians & decides to open a bank to solve the gap. He needed $2M of capital to start, so he crowdfunded from F&F, gave lifelong directorships to everyone who committed $100k (mostly other Patels who still form the board today). They opened the bank on Black Monday (1987) with a single paid employee (& a bunch of unpaid family members who took bank training courses!). They've never had an unprofitable quarter, & now have $2.7B in assets. The business is still mostly lending to Indian-Americans in the budget to mid range motels/hotel segment. This is a very large niche - Indians own 60% of the hotels in America, and most of the owners are Patels... AKA the "Patel Motel Cartel"

906 days ago, Putin illegally and brutally invaded Ukraine He was supposed to roll over the tiny nation in days — but brave Ukrainians defended themselves and their homeland against a murderous dictator. The USA & Europe should be proud that we’ve loaned (to be paid back!) weapons to a fledgling, and yes imperfect, democracy fighting a communist dictator who murders, tortures, and subjugates not only his enemies but his own people. Putin will continue to invade countries and murder his rivals if he is not stopped. All that being said, we must use every diplomatic venue to resolve this illegal invasion peacefully — even if Putin is a murderer. I am not in favor of the USA being the world’s cop, but I am in favor of the free countries of the world joining together to defend themselves from invading communist dictators. Many partisans on this website will spin Putin’s behavior as justified, and blame the west for forcing him to invade. Their true goal in defending a murdering dictator is not that they love dictators — they don't — it's simply to make Biden/Harris look incompetent so they can win back the White House. Politics is garbage, democracy is working fighting for. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
