Highly recommended talk by Julian @Togelius on RL in environments with procedural content generation. Julian's and Sebastian's (@risi1979) seminal work influenced a lot of our research at @UCL_DARK & FAIR last year, e.g. the NetHack Learning Environment (github.com/facebookresear…).

We are grateful to Julian Togelius (@togelius) for his fascinating talk on “Increasing Generality in Reinforcement Learning through Procedural Content Generation (or have fun trying)” at @UCL_DARK Invited Speaker Series. Link: youtu.be/9KPcUgnjpMg Stay tuned for more talks!

Great thought-provoking first keynote at #cog2019 by @Richard_Bartle on ethical questions arising from sapient and sentient #NPCs. Considering games as realities within reality. And games within these games. Oh I have so many questions..

At the #cog2019 best paper session there's a really cute murder-mystery framework with emojis. The game generates a whoddunit with 3 suspects and 1 victim, using a modified Ceptre in Python with MCTS based on authored social norms for motives. Apparently also anger as a resource.

@mike_preuss @nojustesen @risi1979 @togelius @SimonMarkLucas @a_dockhorn @gvgai @Cote_Marc @tavianator @ericxyuan @APTrizzle @SanazMostaghim The game Hanabi brings a twist of cooperation and partial observability to card games and the #CoG2019 Hanabi Competition encourages building AI to play Hanabi, in 1 (or more!) of 3 different tracks: hanabi.fosslab.uk Organized by @webpigeon youtu.be/y-If6ouseOQ
