Before fans write off Bo Bichette Juan Soto entering June last year was hitting .231 w/ 9HRs and 27 RBIs. Bo Bichette is currently hitting .227 w/ 5HRs and 27 RBIs. He has not been good but moving forward I’m hoping to see his best.

Like you're seriously telling me you couldn't have eaten part of the Nimmo contract to get something better. Marcus Semien was the only option. Really. He's in Cano territory man. Can't do this for another TWO YEARS after 2026.

@Weerd_Science @bbmetsfan @StevenACohen2 Soto missing 3 weeks, Lindor missing 1.5 months, Polanco hurt all season and Bo being terrible. Thats the main reason Vientos, Melendez, and Taylor getting significant playing time was not the plan lol

The Marcus Semien trade alone should get David Stearns fired.

I mean, anyone with eyes knew LRjr and Polanco weren’t gonna make it through a season without hitting the IL. Alvarez can’t stay on the field ever. Lindor injury just… yeah that one stings. I wonder if we will ever have the opening day lineup again this year. Oh and holmes news was just the final knife in my blue and orange heart

@Weerd_Science @bbmetsfan @StevenACohen2 Absolutely….so much is going wrong, some was preventable but most is just unforseeable (injuries, McClean, etc). It does feel like a lost season at this point, no question.

@Weerd_Science @bbmetsfan @StevenACohen2 Early on, definitely the case, but this month, its leveled out quite a bit and not because Marcus has gotten better. Nimmo is .236, 2 HR, 6 RBI and Semien is .206, 2HR, 9 RBI in May. I love Nimmo but I do think we overvalue him, and I say that considering he’s an all time fave.

Exactly, they figured it out without a captain. They’re haven’t had a captain since wright so how bad could it be? He prob heard the infighting about who ran the team and wanted to be clear he wasn’t propping up one guy. I get that. And look, I wish they DID just make li for captain but… he’s not. And like lots of other teams there is no captain.

A new low is etched out for us @mets fans. A payroll through the roof and terrible decision after terrible decision has led us to what’s shaping up to be an all time abysmal failure. It should be impossible to have a payroll that high and be THIS bad but… trade away your talent and replace them with often injured declining players and… this is what ya get. Add on top of that a team philosophy that isn’t connecting and you have the makings of a last place team.

Mets fans … Turn off the game. Don’t watch. This team is not worth our time. Not even the bad teams are this bad. $380M - this should be IMPOSSIBLE @StevenACohen2

I will say, I didn’t realize this was a thing. I just think of Kurt as a legendary pioneer that nerds like to pick apart and call over rated but if this is serial issue then… ok, that’s a problem. But they are in their 60’s. Dude, they played one at download and I was there. I got kicked out of the snake pit about 30 sec into the show cuz their duckhead security guard was like… trying to lord over me and said “either step back or no Metallica for you” to which I just HAD to be like “you think I give a fuck about seeing Metallica?” And I just left and gave my pass to someone else BUT- lars played the fas double kick stuff SO BAD like… it was so bad that it made me FEEL bad for them. They’re trying to bring to life something they did as kids and that’s gotta be hard. I have a soft spot for the elders man… I’m soon to be one lol
