One of the worst days I've had in quite sometime. Had to take our puppy to the vet TWICE today trying to figure out what was wrong 🥺 It's been heck of a day... and we are still here waiting for test results for him (going on 4 hours now)

Impossible to not have your heart strings pulled for this Venezuelan team. I’m truly happy for these guys. To be honest, I am just happy they didn’t run right through the US with no issues. At least we made it somewhat interesting! Thanks Bryce!

I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. I got in a fight with my girlfriend for saying basically this and she called me an A-hole because I was just pointing out the “Apples” line would never Happen. Like, ever. Then that lead me to go further and kind of dismantle how silly the whole thing is all just to dig in on my point further lol. Mind you, I DO like this movie haha. Counting down the hours till the WBC chip. This is on par with some of the most heightened baseball experiences of my life. I’ve always watched and been a fan of the WBC. But man, this year is like… every game has something amazing. The drama, the skill on display, the FUN (and fundamentals!), all cresting into this truly fantastic experience. Venezuela is going to bring energy and spirit and if the US wants to take this thing… they’re gonna have to dig deep. I love team Venezuela! I loved PR, Italy, and the STACKED DR! I enjoy all the teams… but let’s go USA!!! 🇺🇸

So like, is that still allowed? Is it different stadium to stadium? I think there really is something to easing up the restrictions and ushering in a more festive energy in the ballparks. Hey, I love this game. I was never able to play it past high school age (but I still play beer league softball!!!), but I see this as a really great opportunity for the MLB reg season to capture some of this energy. The WBC has been a revelation. I’ve always enjoyed it but this time… it’s heart filling baseball. I only hope once Sep rolls around this kind of enthusiasm is in the parks. MLB has to do everything in their power to help that happen! I think anyway…

@Weerd_Science One of my favorite parts of playing for the A’s was all the drums the Oakland fans brought in. Awesome environment to play in.

@kingmilt718 @DMEASrecruiting They have to incorporate the ABS next tournament. Im with ya. There were bad calls in both sides BUT… the game is changing. Shame to have a pitch there’s any debate about end the game.

@DMEASrecruiting Nothing as bad as what happened to team DR.... if ABS was used it would have been a different outcome.

It’s a sad day when people who were born here and make a living in this country actually make excuses for a team losing and hoping the USA doesn’t win. You can cover the games without bias. It was a great game, showcasing the best talent in the world! It had everything, it had mistakes, and everything in between. This is what makes baseball the greatest game in the world! #ForGlory.

Still warms my heart to see the heights @kevinburkhardt has reached. He’ll always be our guy in @mets land and he’s fantastic. I love this Fox crew. Plus I know Adam who works for MLB a little bit!

Yo!!! So apparently the fox kzone ISNT as good as the MLB so… I stand corrected. Of course I assumed it’s the same but I’m seeing it’s not! Angles are tricky though. This is how the game was played for ages but… I wanna see it without any question. What a game though. Us vs Ven is gonna be wild.

Dude it was a NASTY pitch. Gross. Filthy. But those k zones are telling us where it crossed. It was ball and it was too close to take. I actually read that the ump had more calls throughout the game against the US just… ya know, in the heat of the moment that was nuts. Now, I have to imagine this is the same k zone system they’ll be using in MLB this year and it’s def showing us where it crosses the plate BUT… maybe it’s a worse version.

That game cannot end like that. A shame.
