I’ve realized Budonick is just a troll. I offered to meet him multiple times and even let him choose the date and place, but he never responded. Then I offered to buy a newspaper every day for a week and take pictures with it to prove I’m in Japan. He dismissed that too. After that I even offered to show my passport and koseki with my family name uncensored, which is already far more personal information than I should have to reveal. He still refused. At this point, it’s obvious that no matter what I offer, he’ll just keep moving the goalposts unless I dox my full name and face. I’m not doing that. I gave him multiple chances to verify everything within reasonable boundaries, and he rejected all of them. So I’m done with this now and I won’t be mentioning him again on this account. Sorry for all these posts over the last few days. Back to regular posts now.

@Anssi_A @Arin_Yumi I don’t expect everyone to be autistic about history. But it was just one example among many with this guy, like I’m sure most people know at least the big players in WW2. Not knowing basic facts but passionately advocating for military invasion is classic American imo.

I thought Americans being bad at geography was just a silly stereotype until I met this guy my age with this geography knowledge: - Egypt is in Europe - Saudi Arabia is in Africa - South Africa is its own continent - Siberia is a country - Australia borders the Atlantic Ocean

@welsh_goblin @GearoidReidy Both India and China are geographically close to Japan, their population is huge, and Japanese as a language is easier to pick up for L1 speakers of many languages spoken in both of those countries than it is for L1 English speakers. Racism rots your mind

@CacheThatCheque I was the only white guy in my test. The smell was unbelievable, I also had 1 red card in my room and a friend had 4 in his room, which is crazy to me. Leaving the test, Japanese were moving between carriages on the train to find one that didn’t smell.

Because USB drives are used by the JSDF to transfer data between its closed network and its work network, they could not rule out confidential military information being stolen. Reportedly, the drives were donated by Ishikawa Prefecture as gifts, which may be how they may have bypassed security clearance.
