@Engineer4Health @Calv_Hunt Hey! Yes been a bit of a bumpy road last year or so but I’m back! Glad to see you are both still here ☺️

@wes3481 @Calv_Hunt My word! Hey there Wes, Calv said you were back 😁😘

@BiggestComeback Try and have the same mentality really, easier said than done mind! But yes, there is always another way, something new to explore, something to focus more on etc

Yesterday, my daughter Katie asked if I wanted to do some sprints when she got home from work. I know the value of sprints, so I said yes. I’d been meaning to get back into them, but half marathon training had taken priority over the past 12 weeks.
On my third hill sprint on a road near our house, I felt a sharp pain in my right hamstring and went down in the middle of the street. After timing Katie’s final sprint, I hobbled home. Now, 18 hours later, it looks like I won’t be running for a while, and I’m even wondering how long it’ll be before I can get back to my daily 10,000-step goal.
These things happen. Injuries and setbacks can be disastrous for fitness if you let them spiral out of control, but they can also be opportunities to pivot. As I reflected on what happened, I started thinking about other ways I can stay active. Maybe I can ride a bike, which I’ve been meaning to do for a while. And I’m ready to hit some new PRs in the weight room.
Rather than let this setback derail my overall fitness, I’m going to spend the next few days putting together a new plan—one that keeps me moving forward without losing momentum.
How do you handle setbacks in your own fitness journey? Let’s hear your thoughts and experiences!

@zoeharcombe Me too, although if I was on holiday I would have a small glass of if I fancied it. Just do it with a bit more knowledge now. Might choose to have a walk afterwards

@wes3481 All ok with us, I’m still getting some training in, no injuries apart from a bit of elbow trouble, those pesky pull ups probably.
New gym toys are a safety squat bar and a seatless exercise bike, having fun with those at the moment 🤣
