"God’s grace does not float above her work life; it saturates it. Her work is not divorced from her faith." - Wesley Scoggins, on what Proverbs 31 teaches us about work. More on our blog: hubs.li/Q03Fddyz0 #AdvancingGood

Is Proverbs 31 just for women? In a new blog post, Wesley Scoggins argues that Proverbs 31 has much to teach all of us about the inherent goodness of work. Visit our blog here to read more: hubs.li/Q03B_fRl0 #AdvancingGood

Why are we called The Co-Labor Initiative? It’s because as Christians, we believe our daily work matters deeply. We’re not working alone. We’re co-laborers with God and each other, called to create, build, and bless for the common good. #AdvancingGood

@kyleworley Yes! Also vital for us to recover a proper theology of work, which understands the frustration and futile nature of work post-fall

The difficulty of work is a theological reality, not an economic one. (Genesis 3) I think it is good that we recover a biblical view of "rest/sabbath." I think it is good for us to oppose the worship of mammon. But - provisional and productive work is going to be hard work.

It’s Work month at the Center for Faith and Culture! Or as I like the call it, Blue Collar Christianity month! I’ll be singing Alabama’s “Forty Hour Week (For A Livin’)” all month! 🎸🎶😎 Here are a few thoughts to kick off the discussion… cfc.sebts.edu/faith-and-work…

@Natdavewilliams I used Coleman Ford’s book on formation for biblical/theological foundations on disciplines. Comers “Practicing the Way” is excellent too

I'm teaching a class on spiritual disciplines this Fall at our church. I plan on leaning heavily on Don Whitney's book, but also supplementing with other texts — and camping out at certain parts (i.e., prayer). Has anyone done something like this? What would you recommend?

@PastorsCenter Wish I knew about this! A network for AP's is a valuable thing. Will there be more events like this geared towards AP's?
