@nei0geo Technically, a “no sell” can entail minimal impact (ie shrugging it off). Oba still got up within seconds of Brock after an F5, which is how he choke slammed him. A no sell isn’t always immediately getting up. There are a few different types of “no sells.”

No selling an F5 from Brock Lesnar is probably the main thing I would have changed from this match. Are we supposed to now believe that Cody, Seth, Jacob, Bron, Punk, etc. will be able to go toe to toe with Oba after he ate Brock Lesnar’s finisher? Otherwise, the match was great.

I will be 100% honest: WrestleMania 42 felt soulless. The whole thing felt soulless. That’s the term I use for the Apex, and that’s the term I use when I see the AI stuff—but this was on a different level. That did not feel like WrestleMania. It felt stripped down. It didn’t feel big. I’m not against advertising, but there are ways to do it with grace and class. Literally everything was for sale. They have gone from nothing to completely overboard.

I praised WM42 Night 2 earlier, but I do have one massive gripe about the main event… Roman Reigns should have been disqualified. Simple as that. How is it that in the biggest match of the year, WWE just throws out the rulebook? If they wanted weapons involved, then change the stipulation. No DQ. Falls Count Anywhere. Hardcore. Extreme Rules. Street Fight. Tribal Rules. Pick one and commit to it. Instead, we got a match where the rules just… didn’t matter. It takes a little bit away from the finish for me, even if most people will give it a pass because it’s WrestleMania. But that’s exactly the problem. The referee shouldn’t be “letting things go” just because it’s the main event. What’s the point of having rules if they aren’t going to be enforced? You might as well go full old school ECW and make every match no rules. At least then it’s consistent. Rant over. I’ll go cry in my corner until RAW tomorrow night. 😭
