@TheStalwart Yes, AI was supposed to change the nature of war. It hasn't. To pick a simpler example, lots of companies are saying they are using AI to lay off employees, the premise being they are more efficient. Are any of them lowering prices because they are now more efficient?

This is the schism of the left right here. By having staked the claim early on, that LLMs are a gimmick or a "stochastic parrot" that can't actually know anything, it's unacceptable, from the perspective of many, to actually take seriously the capabilities of the models.

@Shadowcoder203 @tobinjstone Nobody said he’s a juggernaut savant lmao they’re just saying that these party conventions aren’t predictive because the people who attend them aren’t representative of the primary electorate, just like what happened in 2020

@wfdltd @tobinjstone He only received 58% of the primary vote as the sitting governor. He’s performing even worse in the caucuses now than he did in 2020. He will probably still win but let’s not pretend he’s some juggernaut savant

Hickenlooper lost the convention in 2020 and still easily won his primary against Romanoff. Caucus/Convention attract out of touch activists who don’t even represent primary voters. Sorry to the DSA activists, but Hick and DeGette will easily cruise to victory in June 🤷‍♂️
@

What’s happening among Colorado Dems w/ @daveweigel: Sen. John Hickenlooper and Rep. Diana DeGette, will face primary challengers who got more support from delegates at local party conventions last week. semafor.com/newsletter/03/…

when we say she was carpetbagging, we mean she 1) didn't live in the district, 2) she had just moved to the city, 3) didn't reach out to any local orgs/leftist activists, 4) didn't build community ties, 5) didn't get more than 1 local endorsement
herman milly rock@Eyoyism

the kat abughazaleh carpetbagger people make me feel crazy because she lives in the city, i would feel much more represented by someone who actually lives in chicago vs someone from out in the suburbs even if they’re technically in my district

@KHivehater @lizatliz markey is old as fuck, it's so hilarious to see the people who pretend to hate mills for being old think that a bernie endorsement erases the fact that markey is even older than she is

"There’s no excuse for putting political tribalism before Jewish safety. Or for overlooking hatred to generate likes online. Or for failing to act against the surge of antisemitism, spread by the Hasan Pikers of the world and normalized by too many on the Dem side." wsj.com/opinion/free-e…

@MattZeitlin The “no taxes up to X” slopulism pushed by Katie Porter and Cory Booker is a direct result of corporate Dems failing to even try to actually tax the rich

Feels like these democratic “no taxes up to X” plans are the chickens coming home to roost for lots of sloppy discourse on taxes paid by billionaires/the 1%/“the rich” etc

@__quack @shannonrwatts This fucking loser thought he could sneak in being a weird gross islamophobe if he buried it under even worse anti-semitism and it looks like he was mostly right. What an embarrassment.

@lilyycohenn @ThirdWayTweet Fascinating to press data-driven left-punching when just last week you were throwing statistics to the wind but suggesting that a “big tent” should include supporters of the war with Iran. Make up your mind!

The avg Dem primary voter is a white, Christian woman age 55+ without a college degree who calls herself "liberal" or "moderate". We overestimate the leftiness of the base at our own peril. More of @ThirdWayTweet's research in Bloomberg today: bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

@briantashman Warren is a capitalist, Jayapal is inept, CPC and PCCC are both frauds. Casar... must have been high or something, he's usually smarter than this. They might not be a Cuomo coalition but they're still pretty bad.

Honestly, if they were so fucking obsessed with Gaza, progressives would’ve just gotten behind Biss and and he would have blown everyone else away and they would be sitting on a big win, but instead they had to clown themselves here.
@

Let me just say this… If you want real progressives in any seat, pick the progressive with actual receipts of making progress happen. Also make sure that person has some relevance within the community, they’re trying to represent. Not some implant who’s barely been there.

Color me shocked that the Very Online Candidate with no experience and no real campaign strategy beyond "get likes on the internet" ended up losing a Democratic primary to the incumbent mayor of Evanston, Illinois.
