Birthright citizenship isn’t complicated; the fringe is trying to make it sound complicated.
This isn’t hard.
1. If the concern is illegal entry, enforce the border. We already spend billions on CBP and ICE. That’s an execution issue, not a constitutional one.
2. If the concern is birth tourism fix it directly:
— Shorten B2 visa stays
— Tighten screening at entry
— Enforce visa intent rules
These are policy levers fully within government control.
You don’t rewrite the Constitution because enforcement is weak.
C’mon man!

@LL_PATRIOT @AngelaBelcamino You misinterpreting the quote. He’s stating that not only the son follow his father as purely “genetics”, but he also follows the father and his “condition”. Meaning financial, religious, cultural. This quote had nothing to do with immigration.
English

@AngelaBelcamino Actually, our founders debated this quite a bit regarding aliens. They believed that if you were born to 2 aliens (legal or illegal), you were NOT a US citizen. Madison was the clearest on this issue. In those early days, the citizenship followed the father.

English

@AngelaBelcamino No,.. good idea, but that’s up to Congress not the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court’s only role is to interpret the constitution as written. Not how we’d like it to be written or not what we think it means versus what someone else thinks it means. Amend the constitution

@MMthee0ne He’s just going to crow about how we destroyed Iran. Now it’s up to our nato friends to go get their own oil.

@Timcast @bumbadum14 You do know that the constitution can be changed, correct?
English

@CNNPolitics @kaitlancollins The only reason Trump wants us out of NATO is so that we would no longer be treaty bound to Article 5 of the UN charter. Europe, by not helping us, gives him the reason. Then Russia we’ll have a license to do what they want in eastern Europe.

@Sunnygal62 @BasedMikeLee We have to change the constitution which would take 2/3 of the states to agree
English

@BasedMikeLee So if the Supreme Court rules some middle/muddled ground, Congress needs to step up and legally ban birthright citizenship.
We can't continue on this path.

@BasedMikeLee: "The Constitution is a national suicide pact"
English

@BasedMikeLee THERE ARE AVENUES TO CHANGE IT! why are maggots so stupid and just recommend that?

@marklevinshow No problem, just get approval from Congress. Let’s wipe them out. Just get approval from Congress. If it is so readily apparent to everyone, make it so.

Let's put today’s conflict with Iran into historical perspective. The French and Indian War lasted nine years. The American Revolution went on for more than seven. Yet today, after just weeks, there are already calls to walk away.
I explain why that mindset ignores the realities of history—and the stakes of modern warfare. This isn’t a traditional battlefield. When dealing with a nuclear threat like Iran, precision, patience, and resolve matter more than ever.

@MKE_Yusuf @ClayTravis There you go. I’ve been saying that for a while. Fine, if you want to change it, change the constitution there’s at least two paths towards recommending or adopting it constitutional amendment or to amend the amendment.
English

@ClayTravis Because of our Constitution and prior Supreme Court decisions. Amending the Constitution is the remedy.
