@amadeus What should I say to people who won’t use `diffs` because it’s new and untested? According to me, @coderabbitai, @conductor_build and @openclaw are the biggest prod user of diffs. Any other products I should include in my pitch?

shipped more performance optimizations to CodeView this weekend when dealing with diffs of absurd magnitude. changing view settings on the infamous linux diff is actually usable now. you can check it out in v1.2.3

We’ve been bootstrapping for 9 months. Why is it taking us so long to launch? In one word: Craft. We're building: - a web app - an iOS app - a macOS app And also: - The best multimodal search in the industry - Agent infrastructure for on-demand assistance Be the first to try it: define.app

WTF is with this AI-generated video? This looks ridiculous, creepy, and disturbing. Is the audio real, or AI-generated as well?
Dwarkesh Patel@dwarkesh_sp

.@gwern saw AI scaling coming before almost anyone outside OpenAI. How was he able to predict this trend? He told me that his core idea was that intelligence is just compute, data, and parameters - no clever algorithm needed. He didn't come to this view in a eureka moment. He just read paper after paper and nudged his priors a little each time, until the trend seemed obvious.

It’s quite something that Go became the lingua franca for agentic systems at Google. I’ve never seen a path for Go to take over C++, but now I believe it is possible.

Rust cannot fix buggy code and we know that it is possible to overfit and pass any given test suite. [2/2]

As good as the Rust compiler is, it is mistake to assume it is strictly more safe than a well-written codebase. Rust has its own traps. More importantly, no matter how comprehensive their test suite [1/2]
zack@zack_overflow

Why does everyone think Bun will be less stable? - Nearly 1:1 port from one LLVM-based system lang to the other - Massive test suite - Some unsafe in Rust is fine, btw writing Zig is like wrapping your entire program in unsafe It's going to be more stable if anything

Removing Bun from any production systems for a year Shame cause it hasn't been that long since it became stable enough to use confidently
