We are sending our kids to school to memorize facts that AI can retrieve in 0.3 seconds.
We're grading them on essays that AI writes better than their teachers.
We're preparing them for jobs that won't exist by the time they graduate.
The entire education system is training humans to compete with machines at what machines do best.
That's not education. That's sabotage.
The schools that survive will teach thinking, not memorizing. Creating, not repeating. Discerning, not obeying.
Every other school is a museum that doesn't know it yet.

Johnny Staccato (1959). John Cassavetes is the jazz pianist who's also a private eye. It only ran for 27 episodes but is a real gem of a detective series. Smooth on the ivories and hot on the trigger, Casaventes gives the character more heart and more vulnerability than you see with rival PI Peter Gunn. The twilight world of hopheads, beatniks and mobsters has plenty of downbeat allure, the plots snap and pop in all the right ways and the jazz scenes are genuinely cool. Although mostly filmed in LA the setting for Staccato was Manhattan, and Waldo's - the jazz club he frequented - was meant to be in Greenwich Village.

#AceFrehley #ShockMe lesson excerpt. This is for all the a$$holes over the years that have told me #Kiss isn’t a REAL BAND. Just think to remember all this while made up, adrenaline pumping.. AND displaying showmanship in 7” platforms. Guitars come and go and can be replaced or traded for another as time demands. No so for the musicians. Yes. Muscle memory is probably a huge part. But still…. Lotta mental effort went into Kiss, and just think- they were kids when most of the backbone of the catalog were produced.
Amazing, really.

McDonald’s just dropped a new AI ad and it’s beautiful and I am genuinely tired of people pretending this is not the future of media.
If this played on your TV during a normal commercial break, you would be disingenuous to say “its slop” or “I could easily tell it is AI.” It is a fantastic ad on its own merits, and it is obvious that AI video will eventually be one to one with reality, where you truly cannot tell the difference. if your of average intelligence and can extrapolate of course.
When we get there, then what? Is it still “slop,” or does “slop” permeate as a label for anything made with AI, even when you cannot tell at all?

Tucker Carlson implies that the UK shouldn’t have declared war on Germany after the German attack on the UK’s ally Poland.
He seems to argue that Germany wasn’t a threat to the UK and that Hitler was focused on fighting communism.
He completely ignores that Germany remilitarized the Rhineland, breaching the Locarno Treaty which the UK was a guarantor of.
He also says nothing about Germany taking over Austria and breaching the Munich Agreement by occupying Bohemia and Moravia in March 1939.
Finally, Germany orchestrated a false flag incident at the radio station in Gleiwitz and invaded Poland despite knowing that the UK had issued full security guarantees to Warsaw.
After the German invasion, the UK sent several diplomatic cables to Hitler, telling him to withdraw his forces from Poland to avoid a full-scale war. Hitler refused to listen.
Hitler always wanted Germany to become a hegemonic power and made that clear to Germany’s military elite in the Hossbach Conference in 1937.
