ICE beat him so violently that he couldn’t remember his own daughter.
Then they lied about it.
Alberto Castañeda Mondragón’s skull was fractured in eight places. He had bleeding on his brain and spent nearly a month in the hospital.
ICE claims he simply ran into a wall.
Even the doctors and nurses didn’t believe ICE’s story.
Alberto, a legal resident with a green card, was just shopping in St. Paul when ICE agents pulled him out of his car.
Stories like Alberto’s are all too common with ICE. Beatings and shootings of detainees and even legal observers have been detailed time and time again.
And ICE keeps lying, despite judges, courts, and even doctors revealing their lies.
We must hold ICE accountable for its actions.
Victims of their violence deserve justice
