The secret is out and while I’ve not been hiding it, I’ve only ever spoken briefly in public about this. I have stage 2/3 prostate cancer. I’m not after sympathy nor pity I’m fighting this bastard with every fibre of my being. I have a long battle but I will win the war.

I totally love the solidarity shown between @GaryLineker @IanWright0 @alanshearer and all those who will no doubt stand with them but I just want it know if the BBC were to ask me to host #MOTD I’d probably say yes!! Well, that gas bill ain’t gonna pay it’s self 🤣🤣

A gentle reminder for the guys out there: Make sure you check your balls regularly! If they don’t feel right get them checked out. Chances are it’s nothing but it’s better to be safe than sorry. FYI mine are fine……..except from some post op issues(annoyingly)

2/2 @BorisJohnson instead. This will help highlight the importance of just how much vaccination has helped us all and may also help to convince those yet to get jabbed to make their appointments. Lets replace the fear of Covid with a positive daily focus on how well we’ve done.

1/2 Dear PM @BorisJohnson You have done a wonderful job in warning us all about the dangers of Covid that many people now fear a return to normality. I believe that a smart move now would be to stop reporting the daily new cases of Covid and just report the number of deaths…….

Ive lived in England for a long time now as feel about as English as Fish & Chips or Chicken Vindaloo. I absolutely love when the country unites, it doesn’t matter if you like football or not it’s about national pride, standing together and singing “it’s coming home” @England ❤️
