Army Staff Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington, 26, was from Glendale. He was the seventh U.S. service member to die in the conflict, succumbing to his injuries a week after being wounded during a March 1 attack on the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, according to the Pentagon.
