Receiving all of those gifts and all of that ambition must be so outrageously fun. Learning that you are preternaturally skilled at this singular thing must feel like magic. No achievement is too outlandish. Nothing beyond your reach.
You must feel like you are a god.
And over time, you become convinced that giving your entire self over to your gifts must be the answer. What are you supposed to do, *not* develop them? *Not* strive to be great at whatever it is you do? This is the weight of the gifts.
The highs are so high. The achievements so extraordinary. You are historically relevant for generations. You fulfilled the life everyone thinks they want.
What you aren't told until it's too late, though, is that the moments are more fleeting than you were promised. The happiness less fulfilling than it should have been.
What you aren't told is that giving your entire self over to the extreme pursuit of greatness oftentimes -- not always, but oftentimes -- comes at a tremendous price.
What you are not told when you're 18 or 22 or 30 is that the true cost of all these dreams and all that glory and this entire life you were supposed to live is so much greater than you ever would have paid.

@BrandonMileski Missed on Jiricek for sure. Should they have just held on to him?

@MNHockeyStar @FutureGophers @KarlEastHockey @ethanendreson09 @MNHockeyDog Trying to settle an argument. If my guy scores a Power play goal does he get the 1 point for the goal as well as 0.5 points for a power play goal?

Wes let me explain something you you and all the other YouTube crazies who have responded with the same boring ass reply, and I don’t mean that in a derogatory way, truly. You people are just simply crazy. So am I as someone who logs on here every day.
What my tweet was is a joke / style of post I’ve seen on here often and always get a kick out of. Someone will see some silly, irrelevant headline and say “with everything going on in my life I honestly don’t care.” It’s not meant to be taken literally. Theres nothing going on in my life. It’s sarcastic. A “joke.”
I often like to steal those ideas and use them in a golf setting, not much different than YouTubers seeing other people’s ideas and putting their own spin on it. It’s a copy cat league.
Grants “blindfold” video was to me a perfect time to deploy said tweet. I had opened YouTube to throw on some dumbass podcast I like to put on in the background while I begin my work day. That’s when I saw the grant thumbnail and thought “with everything going on in my life I honestly don’t care.” Of course there is some truth to it because I do honestly not care, but I’m fully aware other people do, hence why grant, yourself, good good, etc. are so successful. That’s great. Makes the world go round. Just like you’re allowed to play with llamas for clicks and views, I’m allowed to joke about it for clicks and engagement.
I promise nothing is that serious. And calling it “scummy” with everything happening in the world right now shows how far you are removed from reality. My advice to you would be to do what I do when I see something I don’t like on here and think
“I’m gonna angrily reply…”
Don’t do that. Just keep scrolling and move on with your life

@CPowers14 Looks like you care about using him for clicks and engagement….pretty scummy

I remain committed to Penn State and appreciate everything they’ve done for me, but with some uncertainty around the coaching situation, I’ve decided to reopen my recruitment.

@NUCLRGOLF @GolfDigest @TrackingRory Took everything he could from the game and gave nothing back. That’s Rory’s legacy

🚨🎤❌ #DECLINED — Following round 2 of the U.S. Open, @GolfDigest reports that a USGA official approached Rory McIlroy about his media availability as he walked from the scorer’s room to the clubhouse without stopping and said “No, I’m good.” @TrackingRory
What’s your opinion on this?

@Cackalacman @ericdmiller3 I’m over speculating but it’s interesting because Gretzky bypassed the NHL initially because of age restrictions and signed on with a startup that gave him a lot of flexibility. His deal gave him lots of control when he soon after got to NHL. And he strengthened player leverage.

The amount of people that say "he took the bag" in the comments like they know DJ's deal cracks me up. DJ grew up 15min from me. Went to school w/ guys I know very well. We play golf at the same local courses. I happen to have a personal relationship w/ his youth golf coach.
1. DJ was not a plaintiff in the PGAT v. LIV lawsuit
2. DJ has never said one thing bad about the PGAT at all.
3. DJ has made plenty of money outside golf. Maybe more.
4. If there is one person that would be welcome back w/ open arms to the PGAT if he chose to go it would be DJ contrary to what some believe.
He is living his best life, playing golf all over the world, working out, enjoying his wife, brother and fishing with his boys Tatum and River.
You may can find other players to go after w/ that line. DJ isn't it. DJ is actually a really good dude that just wants to live and enjoy his life. That, he is doing.

@ryanmouquegolf @JasonGreenwal12 @Top100Rick It’s almost as if you have no idea how professional golf works. Do you actually make a living in the game or are you faking it?

@JasonGreenwal12 @Top100Rick Then just allow Americans to play.

ESPN getting the US rights for the Stanley Cup Playoffs has ruined it for me. No atmosphere. Poor crowd sound. Take a tip from @Sportsnet. The louder the crowd, the better. #TurnItUp
