The combined kanban board where each card is a note, or script, in my case seems appealing.
Plus I have some automations setup to create tasks and derivative content linked to the original video, like my newsletter, social posts, etc.
I’m still on the fence mainly because of the always online thing. I do a fair amount of writing on an iPad without cellular and don’t like to kill my phone battery to tether.
English

@williambmclean That’s amazing! Just proves how powerful a simple system can be. Any reason for the switch to Notion?
English

A friend asked me what tools I use to manage my projects. He expected apps like Notion, Airtable, Linear, he even mentioned Jira (ew).
It’s Apple Notes. It always is.
Those links in my bio… all those projects started with me writing stuff down in Apple Notes. Once the project is live, all feature requests, notes, and todos still live in there.
No project management tool with a kanban board and 6 integrations. Just folders, todos, checklists, and plain text. It works better than anything else I’ve tried, it costs $0, and it syncs across devices.
English

@EleanorKonik It just feels like a solution in search of a problem to me?
I’m at a loss for all the CLI stuff though and definitely being negative here.
English

@williambmclean This is bidirectional; you can add things TO your Reader from the CLI.
Also, it gives you access to more data than some of the exports, and is more efficiently indexed and vectorized for searching.

@mattcassinelli I can’t wait to see what Apple is cooking up with AI and shortcuts!
English

This is where I want to see Apple Intelligence going.
Any app interface, addressable from inline variables.
We have already seen the first instance in Use Model of mixed text & rich variables.
This text experience is how the Siri app should work.

Cheats are interactive visual building blocks that replace complex prompts. You can interact with them in line, drag and drop them, or swap them out with one another by simply tapping. Cheats can be anything: Entire game types, 3D scenes, animations, shaders, physics, or even bug fixes.

@Fatboy_6ix @facebook Meta or any of these platforms do not care about you at all.
They want the free content to make their billions off ads.
English

So let me get this straight @facebook , people who don’t post on your platform get to sign up for a program that pays them 1-3k monthly to post their content on Facebook but the creators who constantly post and keep the Facebook algorithm moving don’t get a deal like that ??? I feel disrespected fr and yes I’m part of the monetization program on Facebook and to get paid I gotta generate millions of views for a couple hundred bucks. @Meta hook your boy up with a monthly deal also 🤔😳
English

@Humphreytalks I changed my thumbnail on a video last night! why no rocketship?
English

@peduarte @thomaspaulmann @mikedoise @raycast Raycast is a plural? Huh I learn something new here everyday 😂
English

@thomaspaulmann @mikedoise @raycast he said "apps"
and you replied "raycast"
that's the right answer

@natecurtiss_yt I’ve been trying to figure out how to pack value in for 20 minutes without rambling. It is tough!

I'm going to call this right now. We are going to have a large population with absolutely no critical thinking skills if they blindly trust AI for everything.
We have all already seen it.
They don't validate outputs. They don't really understand anything. They just ask questions, it looks good, and they go with it.
There are going to be huge issues in every company as this continues over the years. The amount of technical debt and knowledge gaps are going to be insane.
So much opportunity if you actually know what you're doing.
English

@thiojoe From all best practices that I’ve seen repeating the title in the thumbnail is to be avoided.
My channel is a cluster of designed thumbnails and simple thumbnails and I’m convinced no one has a fucking clue what actually works and we are all just winging it!
English

@BasicAppleGuy I love it!
It's like "I could have bought a Macbook Air but instead I have a laptop and some overpriced headphones" 😂
