Katana Perps is live. @Katana has acquired IDEX and launched a native perps DEX built on structural yield, not token emissions. Early access is open now, and Season 1 points are live. 👇🧵

Today, the Foundation’s Board released the EF Mandate. This document, which was first intended for EF members, reaffirms the promise of Ethereum, and the role of EF within this ecosystem.

Glad to see more parties such as the likes of @dcfgod taking notice of @derivexyz, the clear leader in DeFi options or potential "Hyperliquid of options" We've been eyeing $DRV for a while as well and $36m fdv still seems cheap considering CeFi options leader @DeribitOfficial sold for $3b and DeFi perps leader @HyperliquidX sitting at $40b fdv NFA

I have immense respect for the SNX team for kickstarting the onchain derivatives revolution. But financial incentives aside (which also don’t make sense), killing the Derive brand would be equivalent to killing the entire product. Derive has crafted itself a very special niche in the Defi options space and dissolving the brand after acquisition is imo one of the gravest mistake the team will make. Token exchange makes sense if the motivation is to boost liquidity but dont kill the brand man. Synthetix brand recall is at an all-time low if you actually look around the current onchain perps space. My Defi options journey started with Lyra and it has been an absolute pleasure to see the team grow, but this is self nuking everything they have built so far for some pennies in exchange. Can't do much but rant about it, but would be sad to see the Derive brand go. I hope both the teams reconsider this decision entirely or provide a fair valuation to $DRV holders

I have an op-ed in Fortune explaining why I am deeply skeptical the NYSE tokenization platform will ever go anywhere* *Trigger a warning for all the suit simps who blindly accept whatever TradFi feeds them fortune.com/2026/01/21/the…
