@s8mb Unlikely. Road markings help self driving cars in the same way they help humans, which is why they are actually more effective at night when reoa markings are clearer. Whilst they can handle no road markings, makes no sense to remove them & make it harder for cars to selfdrive.

@elonmusk @Tesla I mean, we are literally a replacement rate exceeding family (hooray) but apparently Tesla doesn't propose to continue offering a vehicle that will allow the whole family to travel in comfort (car seats are required). Very surprising decision IMO but maybe I'm missing something.

@elonmusk Our family of 5 gets huge value out of our six seat Model X. We can take one other without needing to go with two cars. How does @Tesla propose to cater for a fairly normal sized family, as I don't see any of Y, 3 or Cybertruck (not even legal in the UK) or CTaxi catering for us?

It's very odd. The UK is Tesla's third largest market, behind the US and China, and @tesla's largest RHD market. Australia doesn't even make the top 14 according to Grok. I understand regulations (albeit I've seen LHD Teslas testing in European/EU states) but it seems nonsensical to be going to RHD Oz ahead of RHD UK.

@Will_Wynne @Tesla_AI No confirmed timeline for FSD Supervised in the UK. Tesla's testing in Australia suggests a possible mid-2025 launch there, but UK regulations, tied to UNECE standards, are stricter, delaying progress. No public UK testing clips have surfaced, unlike Australia. Approval might come by late 2025, but hurdles remain.

@SamsungMobile Hi. Splitting notifications and settings into two separate swipes makes some sense. But for right handed people with smaller hands, the more commonly used swipe (to pull up notifications) is now harder to reach on a larger phone. I have big hands and even I keep getting the wrong gesture on my SG21U. You should at least make the gestures configurable or able to be toggled on/off as it's highly annoying (and more so for my wife). Thanks. cc @samsung @samsunguk

Thanks to @KemiBadenoch whose brilliant speech just now was the actual truth, not a new rewritten convenient version if it. She has been one of the most consistent supporters of feminists and women's sex-based rights, unlike any of those opposite now pretending to be.

Labour had a chance to admit they got it wrong. Instead, Keir Starmer told Bridget Phillipson to gaslight the Commons with a shameless rewrite of history — pretending Labour had always been on the side of women. Nobody bought it. They claimed the govt accepts the Supreme Court ruling — yet Labour, SNP, and Lib Dem MPs queued up to attack it. One even called for puberty blockers to be brought back for children. They refused to criticise their unions who vow to ignore the law. Refused to apologise to Rosie Duffield. Refused to recognise the bravery of JK Rowling or Sharron Davies. I’ve always known what a woman is. I didn't need a Supreme Court ruling to say so. And under my leadership, the Conservative Party will hold this government to account 👇

The EU will need to buy from UK defence manufacturers. We do not need to undermine our opportunity to expand the UK fishing industry for them to do so.

Why does the government undermine so many of our industries when it wants growth and more jobs? It bans new oil and gas. It stops coal mining. It drives out oil refining and petrochemicals with high energy prices and taxes. It wants foreign fishing boats to catch our fish.

Ed Miliband has to be one of the stupidest human beings to have ever lived. We consume, and will continue to consume for the short/medium term, c 75bn cm3 of gas per year, of which 45bn is imported. Use our own? No. We are going to outlaw that. Idiot. telegraph.co.uk/business/2025/…

@afneil Is the judiciary also going to strike down other industries like, erm, steel or concrete manufacturing or perhaps ban the making of cars and houses? It's madness. Starmer needs to legislate to overturn this idiotic principle but will he do so? I doubt it.

The Reeves – Starmer growth agenda hits a rather big bump on takeoff: a judge has quashed consent for two huge North Sea oil and gas projects in a ruling that campaigners claim casts doubt on the future of the industry.
