The weird thing about this is I've heard Tory donors/members complain about all sorts of employment rights but never maternity pay which is really not generous.

@Telegraph How many ways do you want it? You are desperate to reduce immigration but a fertility rate in the UK of 1.7 births per woman means we have a declining ageing population. Who is going to replace them, work and create wealth? Basic demography.

RFK Jr withdraws from presidential race and endorses Trump. He’s polling 4/6% in swing states. More of these votes will go to Trump than Harris. But even more will go to neither. So this helps Trump and is the first good news he’s had in a while. But not by enough to put him back in pole position. RFK is somewhat loopy but his excoriating attack on how most US media is now an arm of the Democratic Party (“stenographers”) is pretty bang on.
