Therefore, treatment approaches that recognize older people's striving for healthy ageing and follow holistic approaches can be acceptable and effective for many treatment seekers.

resources for healthy aging interact with alcohol use/problems, & treatment and serve as capital for ongoing recovery. Older adults are more likely to respond to treatments incorporating their treatment & life goals, appreciate their autonomy & agency, & consider them as partners

Age 6 to 13 abused mentally, physically and sexually. Age 16 locked up in a psychiatric hospital. Age 17 locked up in a young offenders prison. Age 19 sleeping on the streets injecting drugs in filthy alleyways. Now 46 with a life I couldn't imagine when at times I thought due to stigma I was just bad and at times didn't think I had long to live but due to the love and support of the #harmreduction community I am here. I campaign rigorously to say punishing people who use drugs is pointless & inhumane. The fact anyone would think criminalising is an answer to reduce harm and deaths is beyond incomprehensible. #SupportDontPunish, always 💜 Goodnight 💜

Drug Twitter/X: Are you there? I am in a deep dark hole of silence on this site. Not seeing you and still trying to connect but it seems I've become invisible. Say hi if you're still out there so I know this thing is on. Pretty please and thank you! #EndTheDrugWar #SafeSupplyNow
