I've completely vibecoded this game, from research to implementation using both Claude and Codex. This is being hosted on a 8$ VPS with a 1$ (for the first year) domain. This project taught me a lot on how to effectively research stuff with agents, which part of the research these agents excel at and which they not. The agents are decent at UI, not so much at UX. There probably are ton of bugs on there, my hope is to have enough use of the game for those bugs to surface!!!

Monopoly meets Indie hacking at indiemogul.in Created Indie Mogul for #vibejam, vibecoding over the past few nights. The idea was to give class monopoly a twist from the world of Indie hacking. Indie mogul lets you buy your way through SaaS boilerplates, regurgitated AI wrappers and launch directories. More details and screenshots in the thread below 👇 #vibejam #gamedev @levelsio @s13k_ @timsoret @nicolamanz

Lines of code has always been an irrelevant metric and LLMs have not changed that. Even the much celebrated lines deleted is garbage - as if removing things is always net win on the outcomes of a project. What you should be doing: track your commit frequency. It should be every single day you work, realistically multiple times a day. Then track total contributions. Figure out how you get more contributions per day. That is the metric. More isolated contributions that are of high quality, stable, moving towards the overarching goal. AI makes it easier to build mvps, internal apps, to unblock smaller tasks. Those are areas where you can see contributions go up. It also makes it easy to do what Garry is doing: generating large volumes of useless code. Lines of code at this scale is just slop generation. It is not real software, it is not how anyone who cares about the outcome of their work operates. It has real world consequence. If you think this is reflective of what you should be striving for you should disconnect from the internet and focus on your work.

I’m trying to teach software engineers that their sacred cow of “LOC is bad” is probably wrong in agentic engineering You won’t believe that in another 5 years

I'm building a convenient way to share git diffs. It's solving one simple problem I had. Whenever I got a large enough change suggestion from a reviewer on my code as a git diff, it was hard to parse just by looking at the raw diff. It also felt awkward sharing pastebins around for larger diffs. The tool lets you share git diffs and lets the other person view it online with a line by line as well as side by side comparison. They can view the diff raw, download it or even reverse it online. It also doubles down as an online git diff viewer, allowing you to see your diffs line-by-line or side-by-side before you choose to apply them locally. I just launched it on peerlist at peerlist.io/shubhamapadi96…

@buildwithak Yeah, that’s what I assumed, why the insanely steep pricing though? Also do they create accounts for you on each directory or what?

I see all these different directory submission tools, all starting from around 99$, saying that they submit the product to directories manually. How true is that? Surely most of it is automated if not all (?)
