@fandompulse If you only take The Last of Us 1 into consideration, then Game Ellie is the real Ellie. The Show and Sequel game are laughable fanfiction as to what Ellie was in the first game. Shocking considering all iterations were allegedly written by the same guy.

Craig Mazin, defending the moment in episode four where Ellie, learning Dina is pregnant, says she is "going to be a dad," a line that sparked immediate backlash from fans of the game for contradicting Ellie's actual reaction in the source material: Mazin acknowledged the line was unplanned, saying it emerged organically during filming rather than being scripted, and defended it as authentic to the characters' relationship in the show's version of the story. The game gave us one Ellie. The show gave us another. Which one is the real Ellie?

@EkwentiO62620 @DamnitBiggie No, he was a competent Earth and Fire Bender, but they were so hard on him cause hes going to be battling Ozai.. and if he wasnt a MASTER, he would lose. People today just think if a teacher is hard on you, it means you suck. Not at all a form of teaching to draw out potential

Book 1 Korra absolutely destroys Book 3 Aang, and it’s not even close. People love to talk about Aang’s 'journey,' but they ignore that by the end of Book 3, Aang was a work-in-progress. He was a master of Air and Water, sure, but he spent the series speed-running Earth and Fire just to keep his head above water. Even Toph and Zuko constantly called him out for not having a real grasp on the mechanics of those elements. He was essentially a defensive specialist playing catch-up. Then you have Book 1 Korra. She is a natural-born prodigy who had Fire, Water, and Earth mastered by 16. By the end of Book 1, she’s not only a powerhouse in those three, but she unlocks the Avatar State and Airbending on command. You are comparing a girl who was literally born to be an offensive weapon to a boy who was still learning the fundamentals of 50% of his toolkit.

@aakashgupta Taffer has had a few mistakes. That Pirate Themed Bar that he turned into a "Corporate Bar" where the staff revolted in quick succession to the change? Turns out people wanted a quirky themed bar instead of being reminded of work......after work. And I would have to agree.

Jon Taffer has kept 141 bars alive. Gordon Ramsay has kept 18 restaurants alive. The success rate gap is 51% vs 21%, and the reason has nothing to do with who yells louder. A bar's profit center is alcohol. Gross margins on spirits run 75-85%. On draft beer, 80%. The average pour cost sits around 20%, meaning for every $10 a customer spends at the bar, $8 is gross profit. When a bar is failing, the core product still prints money. The problem is almost always operational: theft, over-pouring, neglected kitchens, bad branding. Fix the systems and the margins do the rest. A restaurant's profit center is food. Average net margin for full service: 3-5%. The product itself has to be excellent because there's zero cushion. When Ramsay walks into a failing restaurant and the food is terrible, he has to fix the chef, the menu, the sourcing, the kitchen workflow, the plating, and the service simultaneously. He's rebuilding the engine while Taffer is changing the oil in a Ferrari. That's also why Bar Rescue health violations look like they're from a different planet. When 80% of your revenue comes from liquor, the kitchen is the last thing anyone invests in. Every dollar going to the fryer is a dollar away from the profit center. The food exists to keep people drinking. Walk-in coolers rot because nobody checks them. Grease traps overflow because nobody cares. The kitchen is an afterthought maintained with afterthought-level attention. Taffer figured out the highest-leverage consulting niche in hospitality. High-margin product, operational problems with operational fixes, and owners desperate enough to listen. Ramsay picked the game where the economics work against you from the jump. Both are elite at what they do. Taffer's success rate is 2.4x higher because the math was always on his side.

@Uc_heyy02 Sadly, Jaime's assassination is so much worse. The utter reversal of all his development, the move away from Cersei feeling more like a bone thrown to fans rather than a true shift in character, every last decision he made, awful

Varys spent 7 seasons being the smartest man just to suddenly become an idiot because the writers needed him gone. Even Conleth Hill was openly frustrated with the direction of the character he was playing. This is a man who survived the Mad King, Joffrey, Cersei, Littlefinger & years of political warfare but somehow got caught sending obvious letters like a rookie. They completely nerfed him and expected fans to pretend it was genius writing. Did Varys get one of the worst character assassinations in TV history?

@badge55950 @OzgurCreativity @TheCinesthetic Its not so much the carpet bombing itself, its how it went about. Those clunky, unshielded bombers were meant to go what looked like 5mph and drop all those bombs on essentially capital ships... When weve seen three YWings be far more effective than a fleet of those trash bins

@gamerdeesquerda @qurciki @nuhre_ Self-Serving? He showed that he was desperate, not that he was self-serving. He had a non-caring persona, but he wasnt self-serving as we realize the massive debt to Jabba. He did show care and concern for Luke as the movie progressed which led to an informed change at the end.

Let’s talk about Isabela. Since Dragon Age: Origins (and especially Dragon Age 2), she’s established as someone with very flexible morals. Not evil, but absolutely self-serving. She draws the line at slavery—because of her own past—but beyond that? It’s survival, profit, and freedom above all else. She killed her abusive husband to escape him. She became a self-proclaimed pirate queen. She stole the Tome of Koslun from the Qunari, knowing full well how important it was. And that single decision? It directly contributes to the Qunari crisis in Kirkwall. The Arishok doesn’t invade for fun—he’s there because of that theft. And the game doesn’t even protect her from consequences. If you don’t build enough approval (or rivalry), she will straight up betray Hawke, take the tome, and try to flee Kirkwall. No redemption, no last-minute change of heart—she leaves. That’s who she is. Even if she does come back, it’s not because she suddenly became noble—it’s because she chooses Hawke over herself in that moment. That’s growth, but it’s still consistent with her character. She’s not a hero. She’s someone who can choose to do the right thing, at a cost. Then Dragon Age: The Veilguard turns her into… what, exactly? A Robin Hood-type figure? Leading a crew that steals from the rich, returns culturally significant artifacts, suddenly concerned with propriety and doing the “right thing” as a default? This is a woman who used her charm, her looks, and her wit to get what she wanted. Who valued freedom over everything. Who made bad decisions and owned them. Turning her into a sanitized, morally upright pirate with a conscience-first mindset doesn’t feel like growth—it feels like sanding down everything that made her interesting. Isabela wasn’t compelling because she was good. She was compelling because she wasn’t, and sometimes chose to be anyway.

@gamerdeesquerda @qurciki @nuhre_ Except he hadn't. If you actually pay attention to the film, when Luke argues with him about helping with the Death Star run, even someone with basic levels of understanding human beings, you can see he was hesitant to leave, much like the Isobella scene described here in DA2

@wolfofruss @qurciki @nuhre_ Nah, I dropped the Star Wars movies on the first movie. Han Solo is a completely self-serving character and yet he returns on the first movie to save Luke, showing he is actually selfless? Ridiculous and COMPLETELY CHANGED HIS CHARACTER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE

@gamerdeesquerda @nuhre_ Eh. If you can't see why out of the blue character changes are bad, especially when the writers themselves don't realize the change is that dramatic, then there's nothing to talk about. You are just being obnoxious mate.

@BatVibes Or maybe the world in the anime is just so safe that 10 year-olds can start their Pokémon career at that age knowing the entire society is built around them and ready to support them (even for free) in every step they take. Nothing obscure, just Utopia.

Everyone jokes about Ash's mom letting a 10-year-old wander the world, but her official backstory is pretty sad. • The First Abandonment: According to the official anime novelizations, Delia's own father left on a Pokémon journey when she was young and never came back. • The Syndicate Phase: Left without a father, she became a rebellious teenager. The official 2000 stage play reveals she actually dated Giovanni and ran with his gang. • The Broken Dream: She turned her life around to become a Pokémon model and Trainer, but had to abandon those dreams completely at 18 when she got pregnant with Ash. • The Cycle Repeats: Just days after Ash was born, his father left on his own journey and vanished—doing the exact same thing her father did to her mom. Maybe she let Ash leave because it was part of the culture, maybe it's all she's ever known or maybe it was just always his destiny. What do you think?
