Did you know that 2025 Nature papers are not as hot as 2025 papers in... Separation and Purification Technology? Congratulations, @ElsevierConnect - shameless fraud pays off!

These frauds are really something. Florian J. Stadler is a #papermill #fraud who authors fake papers & acts as a corrupt editor and yet here he is, complaining on linkedin about not being able to find reviewers. For his crappy papers he does find reviewers pubpeer.com/search?q=Flori…

@Integrity88_PhD > If it’s insignificant they would not received randomly scattered citations. 🤦‍♂️ > are generally well written and great results. Which are visible only to members of the same Chinese junk vortex. And occasionally to familiar-shaped paper mill reviews. Trolls gonna troll. Bye.

@wool_yeah If it’s insignificant they would not received randomly scattered citations. I agree there are cartels. But journals like applied catalysis B are generally well written and great results. Also who decides what’s insignificant??

@Integrity88_PhD Nature does have some problems. Yet - Nature is still very much capable of filtering out nothingburgers like "X-doped Y postprocessed via Z for enhanced reaction R." The trick: 80+ casual refs to similarly shaped nothingburgers, as if they were selected by a weak-ish kNN / DSSM.

@wool_yeah Not true at all. You are implying that nature is the holy grail when they are also problematic. Strongly disagree it is a terrible journal. Fairy tales from China is a strong claim. Just because it is Chinese doesn’t mean it is low quality.
