“BUCKET LOADS OF C*NT” 😳 Shocking Slip During Live Weather Forecast 😱 Picture the scene: BBC weatherman Alex Deakin is live on air, giving the forecast with a straight face. "By and large though, it’s simply a lovely winter’s day tomorrow… bucket loads of c*nt… er, sunshine… across central and eastern areas." 😂 You can almost see the exact moment his brain short-circuited. One second he’s describing pleasant weather, the next he’s accidentally promising the entire country bucket loads of something very different. 😭 The stutter, the correction, but carries on like a pro 🫡 What exactly was on this poor man’s mind mid-forecast? 🤔🤣

Immediately following the initial attacks on the World Trade Center, tunnels were closed, and traffic fleeing Manhattan via bridges reached a standstill. Many civilians, especially in those neighborhoods closest to the attacks, were desperate to escape the island but had no way to do so. Luckily, their salvation came like lightning. A coast guard transmission went out. “All available boats,” it said. “This is the United States Coast Guard… Anyone wanting to help with the evacuation of Lower Manhattan report to Governors Island.” Within minutes, around 150 private ships of all shapes, sizes, and purposes reported for duty and got to work. All told, these heroic captains transported around 500,000 people away from the disaster zone. This came to be known as the 9/11 Boat Lift, which to this day, is the largest water evacuation in history.

Around 30 people perished from immediate blast trauma and acute radiation syndrome (ARS) in the seconds to months following the Chernobyl disaster in April 1986. Eight months after the nuclear accident, workers made a startling discovery. Upon entering a corridor beneath the damaged No. 4 reactor, they found a black, lava-like substance flowing from the reactor core, resembling a man-made volcano. Among these hardened masses, one stood out and was nicknamed "Elephant's Foot" due to its resemblance to the foot of a large mammal. The Elephant's Foot is a solid mass of melted nuclear fuel mixed with concrete, sand, and core sealing material. At the time of its discovery, the Elephant's Foot was emitting approximately 8,000 to 10,000 roentgens, or 80 to 100 grays, per hour, delivering a lethal dose of radiation (4.5 grays) within just five minutes.
