Gun laws don’t work? Why hasn’t Australia had a school shooting since 2012? How about the UK which was 1996? Last I checked they don’t have armed teachers in every school or allow guns on campus. Pretty sure they also have bad guys and doors and mentally ill people too.

Next thing I wanna play around with is image prompting and multi-prompting (weighted prompts) In v5 you can now add weights to images in your prompt, so it should be pretty interesting. Follow my experiments @nickfloats YouTube vid coming this weekend (link in bio)

the algorithm incentive to recreate existing ideas or use templates instead of encouraging new concepts and aesthetics is probably the only thing I dislike about reels/TikTok. outside of that I think it’s amazing how many people are making stuff now, whether you like the current trends or not. the only “negative” is that there’s so many people making dope shit… that all looks and moves the same. harder to sift through and find the gems that actually inspire, or to breakthrough with something even remotely unique. the dopamine rush of using a template that pulls numbers VS the risk of trying something different is so disproportionate… but the growth that comes from avoiding the tried, tested, and true is invaluable - even if it doesn’t grow your follower count.

Look, you can just say “it’s important to me that a human person made this thing.” All this hogwash about how AI art is ugly… you care about people and that people make art. It’s important to you. You’ve just never had to face that because it’s always been a given until now.
