🟣 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ZERO TOLERANCE FOR FGM | FEBRUARY 6 Every February 6th, WOYODEV stands in solidarity with girls, women, survivors, activists, and global partners to say NO to Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

@WOYODEV Boosts Community Action on Malaria, HIV & TB in Oyun LGA, Kwara With support from our partners, @acominhq @CatholicRelief @globalfund we held Q8 Exit FGD of the CLM project in Igosun to review progress, identify gaps& strengthen community-led health actions. @followKWSG

@WOYODEV also actively used the opportunity to promote awareness of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, with emphasis on preventing digital violence. @unwomen @unwomenEU; @UN_Women, @Int_IDEA, @EUO_IDEA; @IPUparliament; @uclg_org

The engagement was used to sensitise on the need to do away with barriers& socio-cultural norms that hinder women from participating in politic& achieving their full potentials, Encourage traditional& religious leaders to champion inclusive governance in their domains @unwomenEU

Enugu, Nigeria. WOYODEV conducted advocacy visits to two autonomous communities in Enugu East Local Government Area: Emene Nike& Ugwuomu Nike, reaching traditional leaders, religious stakeholders, youth representatives, political party members & community influencers.@unwomenEU

At the final stop in Kwara State Polytechnic,over 200 students were reached with key messages on HIV prevention,stigma reductiion&importance of regular testing. The students actively engaged in the sensitization, demonstrating interest& commitment to healthier lifestyles. @UNAIDS

This year’s World AIDS Day was commemorated under the theme: “Overcoming Disruptions; Sustaining Nigeria’s HIV Response.” In line with this theme, the rally emphasized the need for continuous access to accurate information, testing& treatment despite social or systemic challenges
