60-year-old Robert Graham Cilliers and his life partner Ansie van Aardt were in bed on their smallholding in Gerardsville, Centurion when armed attackers surprised them and opened fire through the window. A gunfight broke out as Cilliers tried to defend their home. Both were shot in the head, Graham also between the eyes.
