@CooperZurad We switched our Taig/Microproto lathe over to it from Mach3. Bit of a curve, but once we figured out the intricacies of our machine and how to properly configure it with LinuxCNC, it's been good. Really like macros with it

Fun fact in the year 2026 the software shown still only comes on CD and has so much copy protection it won’t run in a VM You also can’t install from image every copy is a burned disc which has the key stored in a track that’s not part of the filesystem. I’ve bought it twice.

Your 5.56 AR-15 might become a deer rifle. The new Shell Shock casing can operate at 100 KPSI in a stock AR-15, compared to 62 KPSI SAMI pressure of standard 5.56. This produces muzzle energy similar to a .308, with a flatter trajectory. A 75gr 5.56 bullet needs 4,000 fps to match the .308's 2600 fl lbs of energy, per grok. The shell-shock 5.56 comes close with a 20-inch barrel, and with a 24-inch barrel it delivered 4150 fps, which actually exceeds .308 muzzle energy. The key is the new ammo's strong case. @DrInsensitive TBF, they don't do that when fired from an actual normal .380. Flutes are better than FMJ and worse than HP on wounding, and better than HP at through-barrier wounding if your target is offset from the barrier (in a car, for example).
