It's okay, and arguably good, to leave a negative review on steam games that use gen-AI or LLM's for their coding.

@DoctorGester @ParipariPanini @DannyMacFinn Yeah and my experience and thoughts are if you learn to use Claude properly, you actually can write high quality code and speed up & ease your development same way as it helps you debug faster, read code faster etc... It's easy to fall into "slop" code tho, most people do.

@wxrlss @ParipariPanini @DannyMacFinn I do use AI quite a bit because I find it very good at reading code, just not writing. In certain smaller tasks even reading code faster yields a massive net gain. Thanks!

You have low standards 2. You told AI exactly what to do or fixed the code manually so much it mostly ceases to be AI code

I know you like to think that and it makes you feel special for not using it, but it can be incredibly good & fast if done correctly, which you can clearly see at any point of dev from Randy’s streams. And the game is amazing…

@DannyMacFinn I find it hilarious that Randy insisted on never using an engine for his game, failed to ship even one game for a decade until now and he had to use AI generated code for it.

@VoxelKei The idea for Claude w/ Blender wasn't for it to automatically create perfect 3D models. It's just a tool helping you create scripts, automize boring processes, fix bugs etc...

ClaudeCodeからもBlenderを操作出来るようにしたので自分で作ってあったモデルをブラッシュアップしてもらおうと試してみた過程を全部録画してみた。すごい詳細でいい感じに計画を立ててくれてワクワクしたが、モデリング作業に入るとアレアレアレという感じで結果90分かけてゴミが完成。

@peterpetersili6 @Mega_sean I can do it on my own but would take 5x longer, as it would every other dev. I can ship features a lot faster, every single developer uses AI today. It is a great tool to help and speed up the process. You are just disconnected from the developer world and dont see it.

@wxrlss @Mega_sean 4. u choose a rock for studio ghibli textures and just follow along the video. Learn by doing! Get a base! 5. now u want more rocks and don’t want the same. So again ask the question how? Instancing! 6. watch a video and now u got 2000 rocks. All in all maybe 2 hours maximum

@peterpetersili6 @Mega_sean Listen to me man. I am NOT and NEVER WILL be a 3D artist. I don't have time to learn Blender. I am a developer. But using Claude and these tools I can do quick touchups and fixes for specific situations where I need to use Blender. By myself, no extra cost or people needed.
