there’s people genuinely selling/fudding $BRIAN because the deployer of the coin made $200,000 in creator rewards out of $94,700,000 volume (0.2%) if that’s something to note, it’s actually bullish. base wants people to deploy on @base and they just gave them another reason sadly, the deployer will earn less and less as the liquidity grows. currently, only 8% of the total liquidity represents the share of the deployer, the other 92% is fees going to $BRIAN holders

it’s not a coincidence cobie stops playing Factorio to lead coinbase & base products and Brian changes his PFP to a culture meme of “Coinbase Man” Brian might not know how onchain moves, but cobie?

I've been buying @zero1cash's 01 over the past days 'Hook summer' has been the big story this month, with $SATO the largest so far. 01 takes the same idea further, using the best of all hooks, open source, run by no one, and anyone can use it The coin is sold the same way $SATO is, the price follows a set curve as more is bought. It already holds around $350,000 in reserve behind the coin. With a recent upgrade, that reserve is held as stable dollars (USDS), and those dollars earn interest on their own through sUSDS. So the money backing 01 grows over time instead of sitting still, and that lifts the floor under every holder It also has privacy built in: think zcash:native, but on Ethereum, on proof of stake. You can hold and move 01 without the whole chain watching. That part is still early, but it works and you can check it yourself, I tried it yesterday and moved $3K around privately The part I'm most excited about is $USD0, a private dollar being built on top of 01. Backed one to one by USDS, so it actually holds its value, and you would be able to send dollars privately and earn interest while you hold them. I'm very bullish on this part, as privacy is quite a very bullish trend, and there's nothing like this, decentralized in the way it is there is lending & borrowing on top of 01 too: you can put up dollars to earn, or borrow against your 01 without selling it, all onchain, no bank, no one in the middle the community is still early, mainly chinese, but starting to grow on QQ & telegram Open, decentralized, owned by no one zero1.cash

$BRIAN is the ultimate coin to onboard the masses to @base and here's why @brian_armstrong should lean into it every chain that won this cycle had one thing in common: a culture coin that became the identity of the ecosystem. solana had $BONK. hyperliquid has $PURR. ethereum has $PEPE. the culture coin isn't just a memecoin. it's the front door. it's the reason normies download a wallet, figure out how to bridge, and make their first onchain transaction @base doesn't have that coin yet @brian_armstrong just changed his PFP. that's not nothing. that's the CEO of a $50B+ publicly traded company (the company that built @base) putting a memecoin as his face on the most public platform in the world. coinbase has 100M+ verified users. @brian_armstrong has millions of followers. when he changes his PFP, people who don't know what a blockchain is see it and that's the thesis. $BRIAN isn't a memecoin for degens. $BRIAN is the coin that makes a coinbase user say "what's that" and click. then they find out it's on @base. then they download a wallet. then they make their first swap. then they're onchain 💎 that's the onboarding funnel every chain is desperate for. and it's sitting right there attached to the name of the guy who runs the biggest crypto company in america think about what happened when @elonmusk put a Shiba Inu as his PFP. think about what happened when CZ started interacting with #BNB chain memecoins. the CEO IS the distribution. their attention is the most valuable thing in the ecosystem. and @brian_armstrong just pointed his attention at $BRIAN now the question: does he lean in or does he let this moment pass? because the math is simple. 100M coinbase users who've never been onchain. a coin named after the founder. the founder publicly repping it. a chain that desperately needs its culture moment. all the pieces are there $DOGE worked because @elonmusk kept tweeting. $BONK worked because the @solana community rallied. $BRIAN works if @brian_armstrong keeps showing up. one PFP change is the spark. what comes after determines whether base finally gets its culture coin or fumbles it again @brian_armstrong doesn't need to shill it. he doesn't need to post price targets. he just needs to keep it as his PFP, interact with the community occasionally, and let the memecoin do what memecoins do when the founder of the chain is visibly paying attention every other CEO in crypto would kill for this setup. a coin named after you, organically created by your community, on the chain you built, while you run a company with 100M users who could all be onboarded through it the playbook is right there. the timeline is watching. the coin is at $25M. 100M potential users on the other side @brian_armstrong the trenches are asking: are you in or are you changing the PFP back next week?

The Coinbase app works great in developed countries with clear-ish rules. But the U.S. for instance is only 4% of global population. To get to 1b+ people benefiting from the open financial system, self custody is the only way. Lower friction onboarding, available globally, scales like software rather than a separate regulated entity + local team per country. Then AI agents also need a wallet, and self custody is the better format for that also. Even in developed countries, self-custody is very important for economic freedom.
Oxen@0xen1

I still don’t understand. if every asset is available on the regular Coinbase app, what’s the point of the Base app.

Can we just… drop the facade of morality here for a minute and speak candidly? Iran is RIGHT for striking vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. I said it, I don’t care if you like it. You’re lying to yourself if you want to act like it’s wrong. The United States launched a war of aggression against a sovereign country, and this is an obvious and long-identified defense maneuver meant to create asymmetric downside against an overwhelmingly more powerful military adversary. “Ohhhh but it’s wronggg. What about international lawwwww” Last I checked, slaughtering 120 schoolchildren in Minab is against international law. Last I checked, launching a war of aggression against a sovereign nation like we see here is against international law. Last I checked, bombing water storage and infrastructure facilities is against international law… … last I checked, the United States killed three Indian sailors in the Strait of Hormuz by attacking a civilian vessel. “Ohhhhh but maritime lawwww. UNCLOS” Y’all check on Cuba lately? The last delivery of oil to Matanzas was the Anatoly Kolodkin in MARCH. The United States is the SOLE reason the Universal couldn’t deliver in May. They have blackouts for 22 hours a day. Their hospitals can’t function. You can whine all you want about morals and ethics, but maybe take a second to realize how stupid you sound doing it.
