@TwiisterPlays @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike I do appreciate you being able to seperate yourself from the faith to actually make your argument. It actually makes a super compelling argument and a lot of people can't recognize its difficult to sway a non-spiritual atheist with spiritual evidence lol

@TwiisterPlays @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike Quite a change from my usual Alex O’Connor videos on the topic of Christianity but why have an opinion if you can’t have it challenged? I’ll definitely give those a watch when I get a chance!

@xRevva @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike I'm glad to have the discussion too, and i hope you think about it. Think what did they see. Those people were at level one of the event. They had the knowledge, they claimed to have seen him and died horrendous deaths for it. Just something to ponder.

@xRevva @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike Historians agree with what I said as the bullet points. The ones who are actually legit agree jesus died and the apostles saw something that changed how they were.

Mathew 2:13 says that after the magi visited them, Mary and Joseph heard that Herod was going to try to find and kill Jesus so they fled to Egypt until Herod died and then returned to Nazareth. In Luke 2:39 however this plot to kill the infant Jesus and the subsequent flee to Egypt is never mentioned. Luke 39 specifically says "When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth." One of these stories has to be mistaken. Luke says they went back to Nazareth after their visit to the temple, but how could they go back to Nazareth if they were fleeing to Egypt to escape Herod's plot? In Luke Jesus was born. 8 days later they went to the Temple to fulfil the law. Then they returned to Nazareth. Where could they have fled to Egypt in that timeline? The 8 days timeline comes from Luke 2:21, where it details Jesus' circumcision taking 8 days.

@TwiisterPlays @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike Correction, my apologies, historians LMAO. Im building fuckin Legos and popping on X lol. I meant historians. Scientists I suppose could help explain the origin of geneology and the creation of the world. But I think its truly impossible to know things like that.

You cant just assume that, especially when there is a historically recorded census named that that correlates time wise. I skipped over that my apologies, the amount of women seen, was there angels, were there not, was there a man seen, was Jesus seen? etc. I can grant you the third one. We dont know his genealogy beyond that. Mathew and Luke offer stories of two different blood lines. One says Joseph is the son of Heli, one says Joseph is the son of Jacob. It cant be both, which is it? I think the gospels were also heavily influenced to be theological lmao. Their biographies were written to make Jesus as the Messiah

@xRevva @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike The census could been a diffrent census not recorded, quirinus in a diffrent term. What part of the empty tomb? The stories of Egypt and not are complimentary. Luke leaving it out has no problem. Genealogy is one of mary and one of jospeh Jesus appeared to them multiple times

Theyre complete differences. They arent necessarily minor contradictions that can be written off as that. According to Matthew 2, Jesus was born within a couple years before Herod the Great’s death. The story says Herod tried to have him killed after he was born by targeting children 2 years old and under, based on what the “wise men” said he was born. Herod died in 4 BC. According to Luke 2, Jesus was born during the Census of Quirinius. This census is known to us today. It caused a revolt. It was issued in 6AD. This was the year that Judea became a Roman province, triggering the census. In the story, Jesus’ parents have to go to Bethlehem for the census. So was Jesus born in 6-4BC, within a couple years before Herod’s death, or was he born 10 or more years later, after 6AD, during the Census of Quirinius? It can’t be both. The resurrection appearances and the stories about empty tomb also appear to contradict each other. Matthew has Jesus and family run to Egypt while Luke has the family return to Nazareth almost immediately. The two genealogies are explicitly both for Joseph and they are entirely different. Luke has the disciples explicitly meet Jesus on the day of his resurrection while not in Galilee, and tells them to go to Jerusalem and stay there which they do until the ascension while Matthew has the disciples meeting Jesus in Galilee. Mark has the women tell no one about what they saw at the tomb, the others have the women telling the disciples what they saw. In general if one pairs the Gospels together one can find that they often don't agree with each other, The authors of Matthew and Luke taking their Marcan source material and changing the theology to something that fits their beliefs as well as changing death scenes to better support their claims like Matthew's additions of the guards, stuff like this can be found amongst the Bible throughout. There are others such as if it being confusing on if Jesus said take a staff or take none of them, what really happened to Judas but these appear to the biggest ones, I am aware there do exists explanations for all of these but I haven't found one that actually answers them in a way that is actually makes sense.

@xRevva @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike What contradictions? Are there diffrences? Sure but not contradictory. You want differences in testimonies bc if they all aligned perfectly then that is something to question. Just ask any officers.

@xRevva @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike There's a diff3nce between not wanting a creator or just not thinking there is one. Do you think there is none or do you think there's no chance of one.

@xRevva @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike We could get into them, but right now that dosent matter. If Jesus says who he says he is and did what he did that stuff can come later. Jesus took all of it as truth and real. So just start at jesus and work your way back. Idk why people say the illiterate part thats crazy

@xRevva @MonstaGunner @_Ochiedike It dosent matter what they say, what do you say who Jesus is. Hes either, a Lunatic, a liar, or hes Lord. He cant just be a Good man. I think the evidence for Jesus out weighs all the other religions we have. other religions either are not historical or tell truth thu myths
