There’s genuinely no reason to redshirt players in college sports any more. If they aren’t in the rotation, just cut them and save the money. Development is futile and pointless in today’s game. Especially in basketball.

NEWS: West Virginia forward Jackson Fields plans to enter the transfer portal, source told @LeagueRDY. The 6-foot-8 forward out of Missouri City, Texas began his career playing three seasons at Troy before playing this season at West Virginia. He averaged 4.3PPG, 3.4RPG and 1.1APG in 9 games for the Mountaineers.

I have no bias here.
This is a tech 10/10 times. For multiple reasons… it would have lost the game for his team and he would have tried to fight the officials like he did nothing wrong. I just don’t understand it at all.
Also, referees need to grow a spine in instances like this.
