Wealth tax on unrealized capital gains is not a wealth tax, it’s a capital tax. What’s the difference? A farmer owns the farm. The wealth is what the lands produces. The crops, the food. The capital is the title to the farm. The piece of paper representing stock owning the farm. The farmer can borrow against it, sell it in whole or in part. How much the farmer can sell the property is based on how much food the farmer produces. What the @SenSanders tax is suggesting is that the farmer that is the most successful at delivering the most food to the most people should own the least of his farm. Every year that farmer should give up 5% ownership of the farm.

For context, their safeguards are 1) no using their AI for fully autonomous weapons and 2) no using their AI for mass surveillance on US citizens.
